Too good to be true in my honest opinion.
I personally feel like if that deal was on the table, Craig would have pulled it already.
Dont see Andersson extending in a dead market/terrible franchise at this point.

Powerplay Quarterback

Anderson, mews for Obrien and Byram?
Thats a double yup for me so clearly it has the same chance of happening as ownership saying yes we will rebuild.

That's McQueens range. IF there's legs to this rumor that's a solid foundation for a deal.

Not only would we have to build Conroy a statue if he got that return, but we'd have to rename the new arena after him too.

I think Mews probably carries a lot more value than we think as well.

Yup, too good to be true- although Conny has performed some magic tricks in his tenure.

I wonder if he fell in the draft because of attitude/locker room issues...

If that was a trade on the table then I’d love to see the flames take Brz jr. with the Florida pick.

There was an article that came out after the draft (according to another poster, can't remember the publication) where they asked a panel of NHL General Managers to rate each team's draft, and while we rated fairly high- one of them commented that he didn't like the fact that we took some kids with attitude issues. I'm fairly sure there was some talk about Parekh in that regard, but it also makes me wonder about Misa and Mews- two kids who were ranked in the late first/ early second round, but went much later. You can maybe justify Misa going later, as plenty of players with size deficiencies dropped completely out of the draft completely- and there was only 3 players taken who were under 5'11".
If Mews does have attitude issues, chances are- all other teams know about it.

Again not likely but to walk out of this draft with Obrien, Cootes or Reschny, Zonnon.
Boy would look good for out Center problems.

This, and it is beginning to sound like Byram is a distressed asset. If this is legit, the only holdup would be Andersson’s intentions. Even if they knew Byram had robbed a bank and was keeping the take in his cellar, the Flames would’ve pulled the trigger. Innocent until proven guilty…

Like, I'd even pretty okay with 32 going over to Buffalo with a later pick coming back.

I just can't see Andersson approving a trade to Buffalo. At all.

Exactly what I was thinking. Even asking him to waive for Buffalo is kinda doing him dirty.

Very interesting.
I remember Eric Duhatschek saying the other team the flames talked to about Gilmour was Hartford. Never heard Verbeek’s name though.
