Considering it's all the media has to go on in re: to him, he continues to do it, the storyline continues to get pushed. It's tough to shed yourself from the immaturity and ego one had at a younger age no matter how good a "teammate" he is now, winning a SuperBowl would change that for good. I could really care less, nor do I think the team plays any different for him. I think it just rubs people the wrong way due to Jay Cutler being prone to many mistakes himself.

I firmly believe the Bears are the best team in the NFL as long as Jay Cutler gets pass protection. I still think his ceiling is pretty defined now as an above average QB, but with Forte, Marshall as a supporting cast and that Defense, I like them more then any other team in terms of their balance.

Well that was terrible.
Just go to Calvin Johnson 4 times if that is the plays you are going to run. 4 fades and letting him beat the defenders is better than that crap.

They noted that CJ Was targeted 3 times in a row already in a redzone attempt and 4 times in total today. 'Peanut' Tillman is an absolute shutdown artist and has been and will be the best coverage that the Lions will see on CJ this season, unfortunately for them it will happen a second time yet this season.
Whats even more impressive is that Tillman has done it almost completely on his own

He can be as shutdown as he wants the fact is the Lions have nothing else worth trying and Johnson beats most shutdown guys and his buddies down if given the chance.

Well, the Bears didnt ever get great field position but that game was much closer on the scoreboard then it was on the field. Defense was again top notch and the offense was ok.. the Lions do have the DL to negate the run game and they need that to establish the run

I don't see it that way, sure Bears came up with some big defensive plays but had Detroit not fumbled the ball twice in the red zone the game may have been completely different

Bears have to put teams away when their defense plays that good.

Cutler was playing the entire second half with banged up ribs. You could see he wasn't quite right for the rest of the game but they do need to find their way into the redzone more often

The Bears defence is excellent. But good offences won't let you off the hook like Detroit did last night. There are easily 4 drives where Detroit could protect the ball and kick a field goal.
After the first drive the Bears offence was woefully ineffective. No way you get away with an offensive performance like that against Green Bay or the Giants. So as Dennis Green says...if you want to crown them..crown them, THEY ARE WHO WE THOUGHT THEY ARE AND WE LET THEM OFF THE HOOK.

A lot of talk this week about the risk of drafting a running back early in the draft. Wanted to hear some of the opinions of CP. Seems as if running backs are dropping like flies and the durability of the position makes it incredibly difficult to play an entire career as a #1RB. What do people here think? Did the Browns draft Trent Richardson too high?

Unless the guy looks to be an Adrian Petersen all world talent, i would think you are probably better off filling another need high in the first round and Cleveland certainly has many needs.... tough call.. Safety seems to be another position that teams are reluctant to spend high picks on.

And the Adrian Peterson all world talent still had injury concerns and was drafted 7th overall.
Cleveland had 2 first round picks and could take a shot at one of the better RB prospects to enter the draft. A true 3 down back.

If by early in the draft you mean early in the first round then I would say it likely is a bad option but there seems to be a lot of good backs coming later in the first round and in the second round which is early in the draft.
I think if I am drafting top 5 I would look to fill the RB spot with my second round pick or trade into the back half of the first round.
It appears that in the last 2-3 years more than half the rushing leaders were 1st or 2nd round draft picks (by a quick glance at the numbers could be wrong.)

yeah when you are a team like Cleveland, you should go for best player available... and by draft concensus, that is what they did with Richardson.

I'm at a point where I want to give up on the Chiefs. I can't bring myself to hate them, but Brady Quinn as the starting QB by choice is embarrassing. I mean Kyle Orton, and Jason Campbell both accepted backup jobs when the Chiefs could have offered them a shot at the starting job. Fart, I wish they'd paid the Rams to jump from 11 to 6 and draft Tannehill. If you're going to take a swing in the draft at a player...go for a QB.
Just frustrating how the team has constantly hoped that other teams cast off backups would be their answer at the games most important position for so long.

How Minnesota is 5-2 I am have no idea. It Shocks me. They look terrible. How do you not stack 3 corners on Harvin and cruise to a win?

This game has turned into a pretty good one. Still a 2 score game, but the Vikes faithfull is still crazy. With AP and Harvin this game could still turn... Just keep it out of Ponders hands
