Ya, take care out there. A few years back my coworkers neighbour slipped on ice and got knocked out. Fortunately his wife found him, but apparently he was concussed pretty bad.

Came here to post that my driveway tried to murder me last night, but can see others experiencing about the same.

Highways out by Okotoks and Black Diamond weren’t bad and the sand/gravel trucks were out. Super slick in parking lots though!

Considering we effectively got like barely 1mm worth of freezing rain, makes you realize how "big" freezing rain / ice storms can be so damaging out east.

My neighbour slipped and hit his head later this morning. He's feeling okay except for the bump on the back of his head.

If you are doing any walking these days around the neighborhood, I think it is wise to put spikes on the bottom of your boots.

Drove from Red Deer to Calgary this morning. Some of the most adverse conditions I have ever driven in. Sideways on the QEII several times from the freezing rain. The fog was so thick there was about 20ft of visibility. Icey roads, no visibility, and probably about 30% of cars without taillights lit. F'n strugglers.

I bought these spikes on a whim, and they are great to semi-permanently convert shoes/boots. I just did the front 3rd of a pair of shoes and they work very well, but not awkward like the full wrap spikes.

Major pile-up just north of Airdrie on the QE northbound, at or near the Hwy 72 exit (first Crossfield exit). Vehicles on fire, accident apparently due to the fog. People were saying they wouldn't have known anything was up further ahead of them if southbound vehicles hadn't been flashing their lights.

It's supposed to get to 8 degrees today. 6 degrees tomorrow. Absolutely beautiful.

This is the weekend to take down your Christmas lights if you haven't yet.

I usually keep my Christmas lights rocking into Feb. May as well when the sun goes down at 5 or 5:30.

How much of a psychotic do you have to be to take down your Christmas lights before Spring.
