Israel declares war on Hamas

Through 2018 over 6,000 unarmed Palestinians involved in peaceful protests against Israel foreign policy were shot by IDF forces leading to many deaths and amputations, including the death of 35 children. Against the guidance of the UN, Israel opted not to investigate these Palestinian deaths as possible war crimes.

Why do we think people outraged by Hamas terrorism were not similarly outraged by likely war crimes perpetrated by the Israel military against peaceful protests by Palestinians? At least, not outraged sufficiently to post about it multiple times of Calgarypuck?

Do you remember how those 'peaceful' protests went? I do!

They involved going towards the border fence. Lighting tires to mask the approach, cutting the fence, and attempting to either infiltrate Israel leave explosive on the fence, or later to shoot at soldiers when the fence was being repaired.

There were orders to shoot anyone that was approaching the fence as a response. Also a lot of those children you mention were youths around 16-17 years old that actively work for the Hamas. A sniper can't always tell if a masked individual rioting and damaging the fence was of age. Moreover, some of the shootings could've been self inflicted in order to fire up the mobs.

Ask yourself what were 'children' doing there in the first place?

Because Hamas has often used hospitals as military staging grounds. Moreover most of the hospitals in Gaza have bunkers under them for the Hamas leadership, and or ammo.

Even in this war the Hamas spokesperson is giving interviews and updates from the Shifa hospital.

It's baffling how people try to find moral equivalence between the actions of Israel and Hamas. You would think just watching a single video, that Hamas itself has posted, of them holding Israeli babies in their arms or carting away young women to be mass raped would clarify why Israel is at a state of war.

Two days ago Eyad Al-Bozom, a Hamas spokesman was holding a press conference in the Shifa Hospital. I only have Hebrew sources that mention Shifa as the location, but many places mention what he said.

Yediot Aharonot article about it(hebrew). It mentions it in the first paragraph.

Here's Hamas actively calling to kill every jew on earth. That's actually in 2019, a lot of the images there are actually from the 'peaceful' demonstrations in 2018 around the fence I was talking about.

Again, I'm not saying you have to like the guy, but I also don't think you can simply discount what he says because you don't like him.

I also don't agree with posts saying all western propaganda has been debunked etc. Essentially classifying everything that happened and everything Israel shows as false.

Can't stand Shapiro and I'm not sure his little history lessons debunks anything, It's very easy to look up.

I also have audio from a telegram channel of a conversation between an Israeli Intelligence officer and an informant. The intelligence officer asks the informant about locations where the Hamas is preventing civilian evacuation. To which the informant tells him that right now the Hamas confiscates car keys, and IDs/passports to prevent people from leaving.

Again that could be misinformation, but it seems very plausible.

I might be missing your point. Is it that if a Jew calls for killing it's glossed over, but if a Muslim does it it's a big story? Media gives both a huge stage, because it's what generates views, and fuels the conflict.

As long as we're all arguing about Israel vs. Palestine we give less attention to inflation, cost of living, and whatever other 1st world problems we're going through.

I didn't go through the whole thread to search your posts, nor am I going to. That said, there were such links in this thread.

I'm sure you didn't outright dismiss any articles others have posted from such sources. I'm not certain, but I'm pretty sure that any pro-Palestinian article/source would get a pass from you, because you already made up your mind.
