That's actually funny as moneyguy was the poster who famously posted the same comment under both his usernames back in the day.

A) People hanging it in and around dog parks...like dogs.

B) People posting on social media use mild to moderate to extreme hyperbole. To make a point or because its fun or because they are just raging psychos. Or all of the above.

As a normal functioning human being who is most definitely not scared, confused, and uncomfortable by everything on the internet despite acting like an expert on all social issues, I also think either everyone around me forever has been seething with secret fury or I’m posting in an alternative reality of dark outrage.

C) You are in the Gear Grinder thread, where everyone gets to vent in a healthy (and often funny) way.

I find humping their leg is the appropriate ice-breaker.

Social psychologists Schroeder and Epley have found that when we hear someone's voice rather than reading their words, we find them more competent, thoughtful and intelligent. My guess is the opposite is true when we only read the words of a differing point of view. We are more likely to think they are the opposite of those characteristics and our responses reflect our diminished opinion of them.

That DJ put together a wicked set. I'm just pissed that the Canadian broadcast kept cutting to commercials. I wanted more of that awesome jam.

I DGAF about the Olympics but I've got a couple TVs in my office so we had the opening ceremonies on.

It was...almost hilariously French? Everything about it was ridiculous.

The mechanical horse being pulled by a dinghy along the Seine had me laughing my ass off.

Another good one was when they were droning on and on with the speeches and the people that were holding umbrellas were clearly getting more and more tired and the umbrellas were getting lower and lower.

Oh! And that piano being played in the rain? That thing is probably pooched.

Oh and the fake Olympic Fire in the balloon?? That was a nice touch.

Ridiculous. The whole thing was ridiculous. It was so French it was amazing.

Canada's justice system is something else.

Build prisons. Hire prison guards. Hire judges and lawyers, expand systems.

Taxes up.

That’s how that works, if we want to fix it. But I guess we’re cool with criminals roaming around and then thinking (hoping) they’ll rehabilitate. There will be stuff that falls through the cracks. So every time you see an article like this and are kinda taken aback at the soft sentence, just pinch / remind yourself, taxes up. Do you want that? Maybe, that’s an individual question I think.

Personally I think we should do it but that’s just me.

I'll watch it later. I like the actual sports but the IOC is so corrupt that I hate to support them.

Whenever someone advocates for more prisons I think of the U.S. which has the largest prison population in the world yet still has more crime than us. I'm not saying it wouldn't work because I don't have the experience with the system to say so either way, but the same can be said for most people who decry the justice system as broken.

Lots of crime is due to lack of education and poverty but drunk driving really isn't. It seems to be a crime of hubris. They don't think that they're doing anything wrong. Shaming these people would be a great first step towards curbing it. Make them walk around with a sandwich board saying, "I drove drunk and killed a little girl". If that doesn't change their habits I don't know if anything will, even prison.

Just read that one of the larger wildfires in the US, (Chico -- Northern California) was caused by an idiot pushing a burning car into a dry ravine. WTAF? Bad enough with all the natural starts, but the human caused ones almost always seem to grow the most. They did arrest the guy -- hopefully he's put away for life.

There's one in a nearby hiking area that was caused by idiotic backpackers having a campfire, even though they are banned, and not ensuring it was out. That one is thankfully only at 848 acres so far.

I guess, what I'm saying, is people RGMG.
