Or we can just point out that our accepted normalization of both of those things is ####ing stupid. With or without raging, I dunno, who gives a ####?

Maybe we should just ban off leash parks entirely. At least those that aren't exclusively for dogs. Any that has a pathway passing through it, since dog owners aren't capable or even willing to care about other users. Having a dog off leash is a privilege, not a right.

I've never seen someone so obsessed with money or telling everyone how great their life is because they have money. You even made your username moneyguy. I think that's weird as hell. Have a little humility.

I mean, the story we're discussing was an 80 lb dog that ran up to people and jumped at them. That's not even close to being under control. The guy doing 120 on the highway is probably the average person whose dog mostly listens and comes. The guy with no control over an 80lb dog is more like going 140 - that's breaking the law in a way that has a significant chance of harm to other people. IMO they should absolutely be giving out tickets for that, especially since from the post it was actually across into an on-leash area.

Sometimes dogs just... do stuff. I dunno, I think the expectation of some people here is pretty nuts and I'm not a dog person really. And if you kick a dog in the face because it runs up to you you're probably psychologically abnormal in a very bad way.

Just get a belt holster for your phone. It looks cool and is way more versatile than a silly gun. You strike me as a penis mightier kinda guy, anyways.

Why is it somebody else’s problem when a person’s dog decides to get uppity and start jumping up on people? I mean, I wouldn’t punt a dog or anything, but the “sometimes dogs just do stuff” argument is asking a lot from people who want nothing to do with them. Maybe you could compare them to young kids being annoying, but you kind of need them to replenish the population.

I guess I do compare it to bringing your kids into a restaurant while they scream and yell. If that happens and you ignore them, go #### yourself. If you take them outside and do your best to mitigate the situation, I'm going to have a lot more sympathy for that because while it's your responsibility to parent your kids and ensure that you're not inflicting them on others and ruining their evening out, I do have some sympathy.
Plus, I prefer overly exuberant dogs to misbehaving children.

Ban bad dog owners and leave the park to owners who have responsibly trained their doggos. Dogs aren't the problem, it's the owners.

If your dog runs up to me and jumps up, I will give it pets and call it a good doggy.
