Can't he just ####ing die already? What a blight on Canada. This mother####er is the reason we don't have reasonable right-centre Conservative parties to vote for in Canada anymore. #### right off already.

I have all my shots, including the latest one for whatever the current variant is. When I caught COVID, both times I was testing negative by day seven, and aside from a bit of congestion the only other symptom I had was anything with a tomato and vinegar base (so ketchup, BBQ sauce, hot sauce) tasted like hot trash. The reason I'm likely to catch it more as a fully vaccinated person is because I am content to go out and do whatever the hell I want because I'm protected accordingly. I'm not Fuzz over here, I don't feel the urge to wear a mask or keep my distance from people any more than one would otherwise. Life is like 2019 over here for me. I'm also immune-compromised (TNF blocker).
Sure, I might still catch it, I'm naturally going to be doing higher risk activities and getting sick is fact of life, I just want it to suck less when it does happen. Sort of like wearing a seatbelt, I would prefer the only craters on my windshield are from stone chips, and not from the front of my skull. I'll happily take a week-long adjustment to my choices in lunch-time condiments over being fatigued every time I stand from a chair, or being stuck in bed because I'm debilitatingly ill.
Everyone else: We've been over this. You all know Yoho loves pushing people's f-cking buttons and is probably snickering to himself like the basement-dwelling cartoon villain he is. Stop expecting serious engagement from him, you're better off panning for gold in the cat's litter box.

lol, well it’s a garbage report that says exactly what we all knew it would say. Who cares if they try to “weaponize” it? It’s largely meaningless tripe that’s not going to play well in most of the vote rich areas of Canada anyway. I say, knock yourself out.

Vaccines don't project an invisible force shield around people that completely prevents them from coming into contact with a disease. Vaccines work by giving your own body's immune system the ability to recognize a particular virus as something foreign and dangerous that needs to be destroyed. You can still test positive for a disease for which you are vaccinated, but your body will fight off the disease much more effectively than someone who is unvaxxed. This both improves your own health outcome and better limits the virus's ability to spread to others.
We all know this. This is literally Grade 4 health class stuff. Yoho is admitting he's dumber than a fourth grader.

It’s a bit enraging in that we as taxpayers had to pay for this non-partisan report.
Conservatives in Alberta seem to love spending our money to push their agenda. How very fiscally conservative of their own party finances

What a sad, angry existence. I'm sorry for him. Some people never grew out of the team sports they played as little kids, or went into the handshake line after the game.
Here's the letter Preston Manning sent out to all Alberta MP's in an attempt to get them to embrace Danielle Smith's harebrained excuse for governance thinking this will somehow help them nationally? Oh, and ol' half senile Preston forgot Alberta had a Liberal MP, so it went to George, who shared it.
This is what our tax dollars payed for. Somehow, he'll get away with this. The modern "Conservatives" are a ####ing clown show, and I really don't understand dhow anyone can support this type of governance. And a lot of it is this man's fault.
Get used to it. Welcome to how it works when the party you voted for loses.
This is the thing with populist conservatives like Yoho. They really only caring about winning the game. They don't really care about making people's lives better or understand what governing means. It's just a competition to them and because of that, they tend to be good at the things it takes to win the game, including spouting catchy sound-bites, whataboutisms, deflection and no regard for introspection or self-doubt. But when they do get into power they either have no idea how to govern or all of the bumper-sticker level of ideas collapse. But they can never change course and admit they were wrong because they never stop playing the game. It's a sad, shallow, hollow existence. I feel sorry for Yoho mostly because he doesn't have the capacity to understand how deeply pathetic it is. I worked with someone like this and he was always saying things like "it's the best day ever" or "I'm doing great" but whenever you'd scratch beneath the surface it was clear he was miserable, angry, ignorant and had no tools to escape his sad life.
