The point is that with even average goaltending the Flames would have been a playoff team last year. With goaltending like what Markstrom delivered the previous season they would have challenged for the Division. In other words, this team is still pretty good.

Maybe it is. I guess we will find out this season. I wouldn't be surprised if they had a bounce back year but also wouldn't be surprised if they missed again. The West has a lot of average teams, so it's definitely more open for who will make it.

Hopefully the Flames have another season where all their forwards are healthy and avoid injury and a season where the backend and the goalies also stay relatively healthy.

So much unknown, at this point.
But what we can all be supremely confident about is that if the Flames do have a bounce-back year it will leave you with nothing to talk about. You will undoubtedly retreat back into obscurity—like the last time the Flames were performing consistently well.

Agreed hopefully they don’t lose a top 4 Dman for the entire season like they did last year.

Actually your post count was pretty consistent last season. It was the season before where you barely posted.

Hopefully Zadorov gets 14 goals again. If everything comes together (virtually no injuries, players who had career years last year such as Zadorov, Backlund, Coleman, Rasmus, Dube have career years again and the guys who had bad years have good years) the Flames are easily a playoff team. If one of those three things goes sideways they are likely a bubble team and if two of those things go sideways they are likely a lottery team with a top 10 pick.

You can look back on a person's history. It is also from memory, there were a lot of the negative crowd that were pretty silent two years ago. Then last year all of the sudden these posters are back posting every day. If you can show me a time period where Hackey was not negative about the Calgary Flames feel free to show me.

There is no such thing as a bubble team anymore...its takes near 100 points to make the playoffs most years
Panthers got lucky getting in with 92 and made the finals
this isn't the 21 team NHL of old

Well one playoff run in 30 years there hasn't been a whole lot to be positive about lol.

He didn't. He made it up like his story about Gaudreau re-signing.

But that's just it: even when there ARE small things to be positive about—like nearly the entire 202–22 season—a few of you guys are just nowhere to be found. You only come out to bitch.
