Does KK lose sleep over Daryl's success? As CHI is the better team talent wise, is Daryl the best coach in the NHL?
No. Daryl didn't want to coach. So KK let him hire his own coach (as he was GM at the time too).

After he was no longer employed with the Flames he took a head coaching position as that's what was available to him.

LOL, Jimmy Fallon during his monologue on Monday's show showed some of the other photos and talked about winning the bet.

Yep, Gillis was the main problem but as usual the Canucks brass couldn't figure it out. Lundqvist was terrific in game 6, great recovery from game 5 where he was pulled. Tokarski gave the Habs quality goaltending.

Those pics are amazing, really. Brilliantly depicting sadness and dejection, and also turning into an advertisement for visiting Montreal.

For some reason I thought Fallon was from Boston (Fever Pitch), but he is a New York guy.

Conan and Seth are from Boston.

Youppi losing like a champ. The Boston mayor, in contrast, put up a flag about the size of a license plate after the Habs beat them.

Yikes. Guy Lafleur doesn't have kind words for Pacioretty and Vanek. This is translated by Google, but it still sounds rough.

Quote:
"Guys like (Thomas) Vanek and (Max) Pacioretty, you can not keep that in your team. They stay home if they are not willing to pay the price. Your team will never win with players like that that fade when there is adversity, "he adds.

Guy is always tough on the players. He had high expectations of himself and still has those expectations of those who play now. Bowman had to pick on some of the guys on those great 70's teams, Lafleur was never one of them. Always fully dressed, skates tight hours before game time.

and he'd still score the important goal or make the big play with an assist. They all smoked back then.

I agree with him on Vanek. Pacioretty I wouldn't give up on this early.

Can't remember who said it, but I definitely agree - you need guys to get you to the playoffs, and you need guys to win in the playoffs... And they're not always the same guy.
Pacioretty scored 39 goals in the regular season. He was OK in playoffs. Was his first experience with extended playoffs. He might learn to be that guy. It's starts with stopping the diving. If he is never the guy you need to win in the playoffs, he is still valuable in getting you there. You can only have one of them though, I think.

Vanek is junk. Would not want him on the Flames at any price
