Exactly this. The January 6 hearings laid it all out in detail. He's pretending to not know the truth of what happened and Trump's role in inciting it. Not worth the time responding to people like him.

Have you missed the news where one person is dead and two more critically injured? Is this serious?

Yeah, there was, but I think it’s important to note that there are unhinged lunatics like diss on this board, and their opinion shouldn’t be entertained or discussed. It’s best their rantings and ramblings are left to be forgotten without a passing notice.

Some of us get our news once a week when the Pony Express drops off the paper from New York City. Cut him some slack

The only positive for the Dems out of this is that Biden's age won't be front page news for the next few days. Their only hope now is to somehow convince him to step down and nominate a younger, more exciting candidate. Technically they still have until the convention to get this done, but sadly I just don't see it happening. America and the rest of the world are in for a rough ride over these next few years.

Joe Biden is not stepping down, the Democrats who are publicly urging him to are only doing their party a disservice and handing votes to Trump. It is too late in the game and Biden has the best chance of winning the election out of anyone in the Democratic party. There is no young and exciting Democratic candidate who would win with the election 4 months away. It’s just flat out insane to think anyone but Biden at this point of the race could beat Trump. It actually blows my mind to see politicians on the left thinking this is a smart move.

I won’t comment on any specific posts as I haven’t read every post in this thread. But I absolutely do believe that if one looks hard enough they can find at least some posts either on CP or elsewhere who really do wish that Trump was assassinated. I just don’t know what finding those posts proves. What point is anyone trying to make by highlighting that some people would’ve preferred the assassination attempt on Trump was successful? It’s the Internet age. I’m sure if someone looked hard enough they could find a social media post supporting virtually any position imaginable.

You asked if people were honest and genuine in wishing that Trump was actually assassinated and it is being pointed out that yea that is the case.
The proof answers your question and you apparently don't like that?

What are you talking about? So one person said that? Who cares? Does one person speak for all of CP or all liberals?

There was more than one. But why would you even ask if people genuinely want him dead and then just retort that examples can always been found online somewhere so those don't really count or matter?

Actually yes, I've been mostly out of range of wireless and only caught a snippet. Thank you for the reply.

The guy was probably just nuts with a mishmash of incoherent beleifs, but unfortunately crazy people can get semi-automatic guns very easily in the US.

But... but..., now that it's been revealed he's a registered Republican, we can blame Republican supporters!

Except this reinforces the narrative that Trump is a persecuted hero and is now even more a candidate of destiny. Plus, he’ll milk it for all it’s worth. Ford wasn’t popular to begin with, didn’t leverage the attempt, and those were less partisan times

I still find the American registration process to be bizarre. You sign up to support a party and it becomes part of your public identity. From that point in you are assumed to support the party 100% and all of your actions reflect on the party.

I don't understand it either. Or registering as an independent. Why register at all then? Just be independent.
