It tastes like light beer with a bit of Sprite mixed in.
Anyone remember Zima from the 1990s? Thats what this reminds me of. Its beer for people who dont like beer. Nothing wrong with that and it looks like the marketing and branding people (rather than the brewmasters) got a success on their hands with this product.

I bought a sixer of this thanks to the hype it's gotten in this thread. I don't drink a lot of light beer... although in the summer I do buy Corona a fair bit and do the whole fresh-lime-slice-in-the-bottle thing - I found Bud Light Lime to be a comparable experience, minus the labor of cutting and inserting the actual lime. Maybe my taste buds (no pun intendeded) are weak or lame, but if I were standing in a liquor store next to a guy debating whether to buy Corona or Bud Light Lime I'd tell him to just get the Bud Light Lime and save a trip to the grocery store... that is, if the only reason you want this is to emulate a Corona with fresh lime.
Overall... it tasted like light beer with lime in it. You ask me - it delivers as promised. Definitely a good hot weather beer for me.
I drink a lot of beer... and when I do... I like to have all different kinds for all different kinds of reasons. Stay quenched, my friends.

Honestly, some people here sound like children. Its a nice light tasting beer. Is it the best, no, but its good, and if you drink it, your nuts don't fall off. Honest.

It was a god damn joke.

To me "light" beer is a waste of time, and the lime (in corona or otherwise) is pure gimmick, but to each their own.

I heard there might be so health benefits one could get from drinking pee.
I have deluded the masses into thinking chocolate milk is good for them, maybe I could get them to drink pee too.

Even if they did, just order some of that Tuscan whole milk off Amazon, and they'd grow back bigger and better than ever.

I tried it tonight. I was pleasantly surprised. It's pretty good- i thought the lime would make it taste like a slurpee-too artificial and sweet. But it tastes good, and has a nice tang.

Tried the Bud Light Lime last night and didn't mind it. Pretty good hot sun/patio drink.

How does everyone know about this stuff and why is it so popular?
I knew it was coming to liquor stores here from this thread and went out and got a case when you guys posted it was in town, but i was talking to my buddy the other day and he said he was searching every where for it and couldn't find it, then our waitress was talking to us about it and I told her I had a few bottles of it in my fridge and she nearly flipped out on me like it was some sort of magic drug and she needed a hit of it right then and there. People are going ape for this stuff.

It's the Wii effect. Create hype but introducing something new and buzz worthy (to this market anyways, it has been in the States for a while) and under supply it thus creating incredible demand.

I tried it when i was down in the States last summer.
Word got around about how good it was and someone started a facebook petition ot get that beer here in Canada.

A Facebook-based petition to bring Bud Light Lime to Canada has paid off: The lime-flavour enhanced beer made its debut at beer and liquor stores across the country this week. Launch events for the beverage last week included "flash mob" marketing in downtown Toronto, below, and Montreal and street teams in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Montreal and Halifax which handed out real limes affixed with a sticker: "You asked Canada, now it's here -

"We had five consumer Facebook groups and thousands of fans asking for Bud Light Lime in Canada," says Stéphanie Trudeau, Vice President, Public Affairs, La Brasserie Labatt. "We just introduced the beer last year in the U.S., and already the response has been overwhelming. The Canadian Facebook petitions alone have resulted in hundreds of phone calls to our U.S. call centre from fans who have tried the beer in the U.S. and want to enjoy it at home."
