I think he's a pretty good player. He's fast, good two way play, and he puts up 30P consistently, but $3M x 6 more years is probably not a contract the Flames should commit to.

I assume he's on waivers because one of the teams on his no trade will claim him.

If Engvall is the guy who was in Toronto he is super fast. I always thought he was a good player.

If they trade for him with assets added it’s the exact contract the Flames should add at this point!

I'd honestly rather claim Brannstrom. Not that I have a burning desire to do that either.

I think it's 3 years too long for what the Flames are planning to do. Also, we're likely on his 16 team NTC.

Fagemo was incredible in the A last year, almost a goal a game pace with 43 goals in 50 games. Wonder if someone with an injury to a top six winger gives him a look for a couple weeks, he's been stuck in a bottom six role in all his NHL cameos and really doesn't suit that role.

Interesting for Kylington. I really see him as a potential top end D so it’s sad to see his career on the outs.

With expansions I wouldn’t be surprised to see him back.

I don’t see Kylington on the waiver lists. Did he go on waivers or not?

Yeah, I am confused too. I think maybe some people assume he would go on waivers since Colorado just claimed Luvig. They currently have 8 NHL defensemen on their active roster I think, plus Poolman on IR.

Colorado did not waive Kylington or anyone else today.

Yeah saw his name popping up here thought it was just further down the Xitter list which I didn’t click to expand, but I guess alphabetically makes no sense.

not sure, but when I saw that contract goes to 2030 it makes perfect sense that it was an Islanders contract. Just an oddly managed team for a long time.

All I remember is how according to T.O media Toronto was going to trade us Engvall for Hanifin or Tanev multiple times as the key asset coming back to Calgary a year+ back.

Lou said he straight up lost his job as a top six player to others that passed him, and he's not a bottom six player. Pretty matter of fact about it.
