I would think yes - he'll be with the team today, and playing on the 4th line doesn't require a lot of integration: "go skate hard, forecheck, and do Greer things" "got it coach!"

So a no risk move that bolsters depth and some team toughness. He managed to play a full season on a Bruins team that was much better than this current Flames team so he can't be awful.
