And no, I don't think Phillips was even the second best player on his line, but that's a testament to how strongly the other two have been for us.
I saw Huberdeau setup a goal but people are acting like he killed a puppy with his bare hands

I thought Phillips was good too by the way

Good luck to that in Montreal with two refs from Quebec calling the game.

leafs might be in tough for the stanley cup, but they look like a strong contender for the penalty differential cup this year

a few guys have really perfected their flop technique

Not really. The Leafs got away with things the Flames didn’t

As I have said a million times, I don't care if the refs call 100 penalties. Call it fairly. That seems to be non-existent in the NHL today though. The "special" teams get the calls, the"others" do not.

Thought it was a good game ruined by calls favoring the Leafs. Flames were much better. You can't correct everything overnight. On to Montreal.

Tonight’s game is whatever it was for the Flames trying to figure out who they are. I feel like we got a clear view of what the leafs are not - a Stanley Cup team. On to Montreal for some revenge.

Huberdeau was a lot better 4v4 when Toffoli wasn't out there with him slowing the rush down.

As a forward pairing those two are less than the sum of their parts, I like both individually.

Sam with Dube and Kadri.

Maybe if they can get Dube Mangiapane and Huberdeau on a line it could work

That was some WC level neck snapping and flopping. Where's the game management stripes?

This comparison is so outlandish that it’s just straight up bizarre. They basically have nothing in common. At all.

Hey at least that game was fun and entertaining! I liked Philips and it is fun cheering for some speed again. Also I liked Zahorna.

T.o. and Edmonton need to be slapped with embellishment on a nightly basis until they strike some fear into these losers and get them to play more honestly

the game needs more penalties that are earned, not sold

Nope - lunch pail teams WORK HARD. This team is far too lazy and soft.

Zahorna was an awesome waiver pickup. Hopefully can be taught to use his size more.

Hey
We played a good game against a good team while we’ve been struggling.
A bad call or two against us, at least one non call for the leafs too.
And
We came away with a point
I believe we are still trending in the right direction
We will get there
Lessons learned and we will have it all together in the playoffs
No fear!!!
Faith!
