I feel bad for places like Saskatoon & Regina in Canada. They are both large enough centers to support professional hockey but have been conditioned to think the WHL is satisfactory.

They pay professional hockey tickets prices to watch children play.
I have no knowledge of Canadian geography or the economic situation of those cities, but if they're such lucrative, untapped markets, what are administrators waiting for?

CP Faithful: Come join the Wranglers in celebrating Brett Sutter's 1000 career AHL game next Wednesday, on December 21. He's only the 8th player all time to make this mark, and one of the primary reasons why, is his leadership, and ability to positively lead a locker room and assist in the development in prospects. Very highly respected in this league.

We have a promo code out there right now available to Flames and Wrangler season ticket holders, and would like to extend to you as well:

Input "MR1000" in the ticketmaster promo code section for a special $10 ticket to this game.

See you there!

Just wanted to bump this thread as we were able to hit up our first Wrangler game today. It was absolutely fantastic! We have a 2 and 4 year old, so Flames games are a bit intimidating both in price and overall crowd, so this was the perfect combination. Announced attendance was about 6100, which is right about where I would have guessed just based on bums in seats. Lots of kids in the stands with their whole hockey teams, so that was great to see. The happy hour priced food was great and we actually just decided to head to the game early and have lunch there, which worked awesome.

As for the game:
1) Not a lot of intensity, but seemed like the Wranglers were playing down to the Condors level a bit.
2) Wolf is very very good. It will be interesting if his game translates to the NHL.
3) Funny to see some of the players mailing it in a bit on a few shifts. Rooney did not look very interested all game and a few of the Condors players weren’t really looking to get involved in the play.
4) Klapka is the largest human I have ever seen play hockey.

Huge kudos to the Wranglers organization and everyone working at the dome today. Kids had a blast and we will be back again!

It was a really fun game, despite the Wranglers not having their best. My first game back at the Dome in a while after being under the weather for most of December.
