Correction: 1 goal or less, against, in 4 of their last six games.

They have averaged just under 4 goals for, over the last 6 games.

Mega travel and a compacted schedule.

Three in a row at home, giving up a total of 2 goals. If they get on a roll at home, the division title is still in reach.
If they can take this upcoming 2 game road swing (Dal, Ari) and then they have 20 of the following 22 at home.

That's some serious home cooking with a chance to shoot past the teams above them pretty quickly as they will be playing more games than them too.

It seems like Sutter sends them out with a different EA NHL 22 bonus challenge each night that everyone buys into.

Game B: Take a ton of penalties but kill them all and win.
Challenge Complete!
Game C: Batter and bruise the opponent and win.
Challenge Complete!
Game D: Complete multiple highlight reel plays and win.
Challenge Complete!
Game Y: Score on all power plays and win.
Challenge Complete!
Game Z: Don’t allow a single goal and win.
Challenge Complete!
Columbus: Get a record number of shots on net and win.
Challenge Complete!
Vancouver: Hold the team to 15 or fewer shots and win.
Challenge Complete!

I wonder where the flames shooting percentage ranks amongst all the teams.

They get a ton of shots. But man. It can be painful at times watching them try to score.

Seems like if they score the first goal early they are off to the races. If not it can be like tonight. Dominate with nothing to show.

Good for Markstrom staying focused enough during the long stretches with no shots.

Suffocating win. The only way they lose is a bad bounce. Play like that night after night and that's an elite team.

Play like that with one more proven scorer injected who can mesh with the second line guys and yes, they very well could be.

I usually like Harnarayan. I’ve defended Cassie to some friends because I’m just happy to see a woman in the broadcast booth. But I found how they were, imho, really trying to defend the hit Myers threw on Lewis because Lewis may have touched Myers face with the open palm of his glove super off putting. Makes me really appreciate the gems we have in Rick and Kelly.

Anyways great to see the Flames win a game they would have given away in years past. Happy to see Johnny bury it and Marky get rewarded with yet another shutout.

Oh man, it would be the most Canuck thing if they scored shorthanded, all 5 of our remaining defenders got calf lacerations, Demko got on the ref's mic during the timeout and said Markstrom wasn't pumping his tires, Nathan Lafayette came out as one of the defenseman and hit the post, and at the end of the game Brad Marchand came out of the tunnel, lowbridged Horvat and stripped the C off his chest while he lie on the ice and put it on himself inexplicably wearing #11, and then we lost the lottery draft at the end of the season and like Quinn Hughes was the Zodiac killer or some ####.
Hey, I like this poster's imagination!

Cassie forgetting this is a national broadcast and not a regional one so is not supposed to show her Flames bias. But yet, there she is.
What on earth. I can't even comprehend how they can be getting homer vibes from Cassie's commentary? She tries so hard to give love to the other team, tonight it was so bad that she was even playing defense lawyer for Myers after a blatant hit to the head.

I'm starting to think it's not that she's a homer for anyone, she's just so bad at commentating it comes across that way. The way she breaks things down is just so awkward, dry and weird and like she doesn't care about what's happening in the game. It's like she's giving credit to neither team so everyone assumes it's a homer thing when she actually just seems to not ever be cheering for anyone except McDavid.

It's just so... weird to listen to. And I hate to say it because it just feels like I'm dumping on her, she's got a lot more time and knowledge in this game than I do. Just doesn't know how to talk.

Kudos to Cassie for finally showing correct use of the phrase ‘time and space’ , I suppose

Harnaryan seems to think it applies to Brett Ritchie picking up the puck in the neutral zone and being angled out to take a weak shot from the outside, or a Canuck pinning the puck on the boards with a Flame on his butt

I was surprised that he unsuccessfully used the phrase at least three times and failed to even consider it on the GWG

He is so painful to listen to

Bieksa was great on the post game panel calling out the lacklustre game and the failed toe drag through three guys, while Kelly and Cassie were trying way too hard to show they were unbiased towards the Flames and calling for a penalty.

Horvat tried a bad toe drag 1 on 3, just dropped his stick, and dogged it back to the bench. Weak
