The World Hockey Championship is every year though. Lots of opportunity for McDavid to wear a team Canada jersey in May.

I was in 218 and could hear that guy. When he yelled out “how do you sleep at night” I wanted to yell out “with your mother” But I didn’t wanna start a fight espacially since I was with the wife and kid.

Don't be silly. If they were really charitable, they would go down to the nearest dollar store and just buy a cure for ALS. Because, you know, rich people can do that, they're just too mean to make the effort.
Stoopid billionaires!

Flames Foundation donations come from the profits of the business, which belong to the owners.
If you give to charity, does that mean your donation really came from your employer and not from you?

Was critical of him not shooting on the PP, but Andersson was an absolute beast defensively tonight. In fact, the entire D core was really good.

I may be in the minority but I loved that game. In the GDT I said I wanted a grinding defensive game, and that’s what it was. The Flames need to learn how to win these games. Games like this will help the team’s defensive confidence and give Treliving, Daryl, and the coaching staff some really solid insight into the battle-readiness of this team.
Again, Johnny was the driving force. So dominant every time he is on the ice. What a pleasure to watch him this season.
After Hours was also wonderful. Amazing family, incredible story of hope and perseverance. Cassie and Scott with some of their best work. I really thought Cassie was going to lose it a couple times. As a family member of the Flames organization you can tell how close knit they are. Even the McDavid story, and Cohen’s reaction, were really cool.
An enjoyable Saturday night!

I enjoyed the game too...Flames dominated and were unfortunate not to win by 3 or 4
I also know that style will win consistently
Flames have won three in a row at home now, pretty big considering their remaining schedule

Yeah, I enjoyed it as well.
Three in a row at home, giving up a total of 2 goals. If they get on a roll at home, the division title is still in reach.

Actually, the largest part of the Flames Foundation revenue is from 50/50 sales. In 2020 total revenues were $4M of which 50/50s were $2M. Some $800K was from fundraising events (golf, poker I'd guess) and donations were only $300K. That's less than 10% of their revenue, and, without looking at their donor statements in their tax returns I'd guess that is NOT from CFLP. (The numbers are even lower in 2019, and substantially higher for 50/50.)
I spent over 20 years accounting with a foundation and am well-versed in charity activities...and I like donors to be credited for their good deeds, not others!
If you give to charity, it comes from you and is tax-creditable; it has nothing to do with your employer.
And for those whose donations are "tiny"...the fact that you make them at all is worthwhile, creditable and wonderful. They are ALWAYS appreciated by the recipient orgs, regardless of size. And they DO change lives.
Now....back to our regularly scheduled PGT.

I wouldn't say I enjoyed it, but it was satisfying to see that they could grind out a win. They need to learn how to win in different scenarios. This was the kind of game they I usually expect a heartbreaking loss, but they pulled it off.

Yeah, they played and stuck to the game plan for 60 minutes and change. Easily could have been a game where they get frustrated and make mistakes. Classic hospital hockey.

Yes, it's very nice to see them start to win at home. Hopefully get on a serious roll here.
I really wish Treliving would add a top 6 forward who can score, to the roster. The sooner the better.
