This team isn't even worth the time to come to games.

Talking about being a Bruins Fan back in the day.
Bobby Orr and the Big, Bad Bruins by Stan Fischler was the hardest book to get at ole Lake Bonavista Elementary Library. Apparently I was not alone in being a fan.

Seems like the 3rd and 4th lines are giving the most offense so far. They're doing the most with what they're given.

But to me there seem to be something missing from every line combo, just a piece of the puzzle that doesn't fit. Backlund line has a 60% healthy Frolik, 4th line has stajan even though he's actually been pretty decent lately, monahan line has an icecold ferland, janko line has hathaway.

Will be very interesting to see how this team responds in the 2nd. You can't come out and play the same way. Not sure if they will make an adjustment or not, or get a talking-to, but something needs to be addressed. That is 4 periods in which the Bruins are out-competing the Flames.

Louie Debrusk looks like he could still tune half the league.

I would like to see the middle two lines shift.
Bennett- Backlund - Tkachuk
Hathaway - Jankowski - Frolik

If the Flames have no offensive depth, they may as well stack their top two lines and ride them hard.

flames arent going to get any favors from the rest of the league. they really need to dial it in and help themselves out.

I would like to see Sam Bennett stop on a puck just once. Every single play is a fly-by, reaching back for a pass that he would smash home if he was stopping.

Sean Monahan scores 27+ every year because he knows when to stop moving. Until Bennett gets that through his head, he is going to struggle.

Hathaway has seemed "off" in his last couple of scraps. Injured?

Good, Hathaway did his job. Big hit, answer the call afterwards.

Now everyone else - get to work!

Hathaway wore a few. They both slipped, it was over in a second.

I wanted them to do that but Backlund hasn't been himself lately and Frolik has been outright bad at times. Tough to move the only person contributing off of that line.

Think if anything they may need a bit of a RW shuffle.

Gaudreau - Monahan - Frolik :need to get Frolik away from the tough defensive matchups and defensive zone right now

Tkachuk - Backlund - Lazar : Lazar has played really strong the last two weeks think he would be okay in an elevated role.

Bennett - Jankowski - Ferland : A little more skill on the third line.

Klimchuk - Stajan - Hathaway: Hathaway looked decent on the 4th line when he was there previously.

Would have been better for Hathaway to just get under their skin and not answer the bell there in my opinion. Play smart and draw the penalty if they want to react.
