Yes, because knocking on neighbours' doors asking for candy is something typically reserved for October 31, not on the first day of November.

Zero kids again in High River. They hit all the other streets but ours. I'm guessing because most on our street are retired.

Wife put a bowl out full of candy so I could walk around with our 2 little kids. She was sick so didn't have to answer / make others sick and just wasn't feeling up to it. Everything was stolen by 6:30. Lame.

Canyon Meadows. Also my vehicle has been broken into twice in about 4 months. Awesome community we got here.

Anyway walking around with the kids and watching them is such an amazing experience. So cool and fun to watch and be a part of, the kind of memories you know you'll never forget.

I'd say almost all of the people in my city would have no idea why you are knocking on their door. I have a 5-year-old daughter and she really wanted to go trick-or-treating, but it's basically just a bar holiday here.

Every year around Halloween the subway system tells people that you are not allowed to use the subway if you are dressed in a costume because some people might think you are a real ghost and freak out (or they will think you will give them bad luck and panic)!

There was a Calgary killer clown Instagram page that was threatening harm to people trick or treating days leading up to Halloween. I know for a fact a few friends with kids took the threat pretty seriously and didn't take their kids trick or treating.

Did anyone who saw the page not take their kids because of it? I really hope they catch and charge whoever created it. It was pretty direct threats.

In Edmonton, but we got 5 trick or treaters tonight. Same as the last few years. Never been busy since I've lived here. It's weird a few blocks in our community go all out and the kids seem to just hit that and that's it. Oh well more leftover candy for me.

Reason I ask is because I'm in China and the idea of Halloween here keeps getting bigger, but no one does trick-or-treating door-to-door.
I live in an apartment complex. There are some foreigners living here but it is 95% locals. 5 or 6 of the 40 odd visitors were foreigners and the rest locals.

That's awesome then. My complex had a "Halloween party" but it was just a commercial for the local gym.

Just confirms that Mongolians are cool.

I saw this on Facebook. My niece in Manitoba was saying she didn't know if she wanted to go trick or treating either because there were threats of a clown purge there too.

We had 205 on Country Hills Drive. That's a record in these parts. Props to many in the community who out did themselves with yard/house decorations. Lots of animatronics, strobes, and fog machines.
