Why are people giving out chips. Chips suck, they take up too much room and I don't need 50 bags of them.

Give out skittles and chocolate bars please

It's really emptied out on the streets since 7:30

Mrs. Puppet reports about 15 kids all night long, and I didn't see a lot while taking the kids out. We're in Riverbend, so I'm wondering if today's events contributed to a slow Halloween.

The number of kids in my area has dropped by half in 2 years. Zero tonight... and it's a beautiful night too.

You shut your dirty mouth. Chips are the best junk food ever.

I always used a pillow case and had no issues with the odd chips or can of pop.

My family and I live in Ulaanbataar Mongolia. It is currently 7:35 pm on Halloween night and we have already had 39 visitors. The tradition has really caught on here the past few years.
Lots of ghosts, ninjas, witches, and not surprisingly 5 Harley Quinn's so far.
We are giving out mini Snickers and gum filled lollipops.
Just wondering, do you live in a community with a lot of westerners living close-by? Or is this actually Mongolian kids do the trick-or-treating?

Reason I ask is because I'm in China and the idea of Halloween here keeps getting bigger, but no one does trick-or-treating door-to-door.

Another parent told me numbers are down this year because of evil clown fears.

Trick or treating in China would be hilarious. Guaranteed you would hit at least one home where they wouldn't know wtf was going on and hand out some firecrackers.

Just over 30 kids this year in Whitehorn

Granted, my wife and I were at work and didn't get home and 'open shop' until 1830hrs, so that likely didn't help. Some great costumes, though.

The glowsticks were the major sleeperhit treat it seems. Everyone wanted one, even a lot of the parents/guardians with the kiddies.

About 35 or so on one of the quieter streets in Sunnyside. Little kids are done, we're still getting some of the hit-every-house bigger kids. It's actually up from recent years, our neighbours went all-out with decorations so I think we're getting a bump by proximity.

18 total, we would have many more if we lived on a main street.

EDIT: Castleridge.

36 as at 8:30. This is probably half of normal for the past couple of years and perhaps only 25% of 8-10 years ago levels for Bridlewood.

The Mrs went for a walk and confirmed that perhaps as many as 60-70% of homes are dark and that there aren't many kids out.

134 and I think we're done... I stepped out to the sidewalk and I don't see anyone in either direction on our street.
