Late in the second Chiasson had a wide open player for a tap in and he shot the puck at the pads of the goalie. Don't think he's going to be a fan favourite.

Grossman is garbage and was garbage tonight Jerrard has his head up his az if thinks otherwise.
I will be disgusted in Treliving and Gulutzan judgement if that tool gets a regular spot. Korpacoski and Higgins better not receive a contract either all 3 of those players are pure junk.

The game was closer than the score would indicate. Goaltending was the difference, and the starting goalie cost the Flames the game. If the Flames (or any other team for that matter) want Thorburn, they can have him. At 6'4/230, he can't fight to save his life, and is not good enough to make our team this year.

We traded for Chiasson. Regardless if he hasn't been as good as we expected, the trade was for an area in need and we traded away Sieloff, in which we have a big logjam in for defence.
What's wrong with Pribyl? We haven't even seen him play as he's recovering from an injury....

It was nice going to a live Flames game again even though we lost badly. Brodie looked good and our regulars had their moments. That's honestly all I can think of for positives. Major cuts coming tomorrow I suppose.

Can you imagine watching Chiasson play every night while knowing your team traded Jason Spezza for the privilege?
EDIT: Jesus. His last year in Dallas, he had 13 goals, 22 assists, 35 points and was -21. That, two other people you've never heard of and a 2nd round pick gets Jason Spezza. Wow.

Chiasson was historically bad in Ottawa last year. He'll be bad with us too. I feel bad for the guy I saw in a white Chiasson jersey tonight. What a waste of money.
Grossmann just can't compete at the NHL level anymore.
Wasn't overly impressed with Johnson tonight but I know he's better than that. I thought Gillies was pretty good after a shaky start.
Tkachuk is going to be one of the most hated players in the league. He's awesome.

I hope those of you not worried about offense because it wasn't a problem last year are right. I am mildly concerned we have less skill up front than at this time last year.
Maybe someone emerges.

Only read the last couple pages but saw people crapping on Korpikoski. Don't understand it, he used his speed well tonight and I noticed him in a couple good plays.
Was glad to see a couple chippy moments from Backlund.
Wideman made a couple plays I was glad to see him make in the offensive zone that didn't end in someone's shinpads like last year.
Was disappointed to not see Vey as this was my first game this year.
Like Hathaway as usual, getting in the right places and being physical.
Chiasson didn't look like he's an NHL player tonight for the most part, he had a couple moments but didn't do anything that made me feel like he was better than one of our other fringe bottom line guys.
Grossman looked like the #7 guy that you know isn't better than that, maybe can fill in but didn't handle the puck well.
I don't want to see Stajan at center.
It looked clear to me that I'd rather have the other two guys on Bollig's line on the team over him.

Yeah I'd be happy to see the Flames sign Korpikoski.
