Btw who's NJ's third franchise goalie? Marty, Schneider and who?

Sean Burke. Schneider has to make the playoffs and lead them far to cement his status as a franchise goalie.

We may have Gilies as Bishop and Parsons as Quick.

Wow Parsons movement looks elite in those highlights. Has that Kipper/Quick dialed in swagger to him. Quickly becoming my favourite prospect

Doubt they win this series, but Parsons is the only chance they have.
He led the league in save percentage among qualifiers by .07 (.925 save percentage, .918 for 2nd place). He's got star potential.
The Knight have never lost a playoff series where he was healthy (got hurt in their loss in his rookie year)

Nice to see him progressing well. Sure would be nice if we could develop our own goalie one of these decades.

I think there is a good chance he is voted number 1 prospect in our summer rankings. I know Button has him in his top 10-15 prospects not in the NHL.

All I can say about that highlight package was.... WOW. He gets out on shooters really well and the kid has a ton of battle. Going to be a lot of fun watching this guy play everyday!

I'm so glad we have him in our system. Very dissappointed in McDonald's progress since being drafted.

McDonald is still just 20, so can't give up yet, but imagine if the Flames had taken Demko which they probably should have if they wanted pick a goalie in that spot. And that's not even really using hindsight either.
Gillies
Demko
Parsons
Would be a ridiculous goalie prospect pool.

Chances are we may have skipped on Parsons if we had Demko.

True. I also don't think we draft Parsons if we have Demko in the system.
So basically it goes down to Demko vs Parsons.

You guys might be right, but I don't think so because the Flames weren't going to pick a goalie in the last draft even without Demko in the system, but Parsons still being available at #54 forced their hand because they were so high on him.

Well if we draft Demko instead of McDonald and then take someone else instead of Parsons, it comes down to
Demko + 2016 2nd Rounder vs Parsons

Even at that the trade would be a steal for the Flames. I have been saying for years that Parsons is going to be the next top goalie in the NHL when all is said and done. I know that is a crazy bold prediction because goalies can sometimes not pan out but Parsons to me is like when Carey Price was drafted, you knew he was going to pan out and be a franchise goalie. Parsons should have been a first rnd draft pick and we are damn lucky that goalies slide so much in drafts now.
