One of my favorite. At least he did not sign with Edmonton, BC or Saskatchewan.

I am curious on why Huff gave up on Tevaughn Campbell and practically gave him away. I wonder what kind of health issue he's got. Good on Fuller in signing with Seattle. I hope he stays healthy and play the rest of his career in the NFL.

Chad Owens and speedy Banks. Wow, what a combination for special team, that is if Banks is staying in Hamilton.

Carolina has signed punter Swayze Waters.

Herb Zurkowsky tweeted that Henoc Mumba is on the trading block. With the signing of Vaughn Martin hes expandable, and Edmonton seems to be his potential destination.

Wow, shocked and sad to see Keon leave Calgary. What a outstanding player and person. Best of luck to him and his family (would have loved him in Saskatchewan). There will be more than a few organizations in Calgary sad to see him leave, hopefully some of the other Stamps will fill in for him

Edit: As a non Stamps fan I firmly believe that he and Cornish were the best Stamps of the past decade. He will go on the wall of fame when his career is done

Very disappointed Huff couldn't hold onto Raymond - i guess the bright spot is that he isn't going to Sask or Shelbyville

Hamilton got Owens at a big discount. He wanted to play there.

Hearing that Henoc Muombo is on the block. Montreal wants out of this contract. Edmonton has interest but the price-tag might be too much.

Edit: I see that the Edmonton-Muombo thing was just mentioned.

Raymond - Best of luck to him, all-time CFL great. I do like Huff being pro-active and replacing the older guys before they lose a step.

Fuller - is a solid talent, needs to put it all together. Hawks had another ex CFLer too in Chris Matthews, who they cut recently. I wonder if he thinks about coming back up here and if Huff can scoop him up.

Campbell trade to Riders - no loss. With Berger, Hecht, Jenke and Thibault and all are considered backups. You only need so many of them. Get a pick now if you think he has health concerns.

Chad Owens - Barker and co must've pissed him of if he wanted to go to Hamilton that bad. His best days are definitely behind him but he can still provide veteran leadership.

Henoc Muamba - He can't be too happy after choosing the Als last year. He is apparently due a big bonus on the 16th so he might get released before that.

Huff would love to add guys like Laurent, Bourke, Muamba but as Canadian all-stars they cost so much and he can get a player similar if not better from down south for much cheaper. I like this strategy of paying Canadians that are good players but don't screw up your cap.

John Murphy was on a Regina TV station this afternoon, said Campbell has a shoulder issue from college which he aggravated last season. Also, said with rehab and conditioning he should be good to go.

Cameron Marshall has signed with Seattle.

Frederic Plesisu re-signs with Hamilton. Really good re-signing by them, creates roster flexibility if they need to go Canadian at MLB, and just a very solid player.

Stamps GM John Hufnagel says he was “disappointed” with Keon Raymond leaving. Would’ve signed him 2 months ago had original $ been different

Essentially, Keon came in too high $-wise early on, Huff moved to re-sign Burnett, McDonald, then price dropped Thurs, but it was too late.

Huh, Stamps must not have been in the same ballpark dollar wise if they couldn't agree on a middle ground.

@HerbZurkowsky:
I believe the #Als have released Henoc Muamba. Official confirmation should come Tuesday at some point.

The CFL released the 2016 schedule today: http://www.cfl.ca/schedule/

I can't remember a Stamps' schedule like this. They play most of their Western games in the first half of the season. After the Labour Day home-and-home, they only have one game against a Western opponent. Six of their last seven games are against the East.

Pre-season
  • Saturday, June 11 @ 7 p.m. vs Edmonton
  • Friday, June 17 @ 8 p.m. at BC

Regular season
  • Saturday, June 25 @ 8 p.m. at BC
  • Friday, July 1 @ 8 p.m. vs Winnipeg
  • Friday, July 8 @ 5 p.m. at Ottawa
  • WEEK 4 BYE
  • Thursday, July 21 @ 6:30 p.m. at Winnipeg
  • Friday, July 29 @ 8 p.m. vs BC
  • Thursday, Aug. 4 @ 8 p.m. vs Saskatchewan
  • Saturday, Aug. 13 @ 5 p.m. at Saskatchewan
  • Friday, Aug. 19 @ 8 p.m. at BC
  • Sunday, Aug. 28 @ 5 p.m. vs Hamilton
  • Monday, Sept. 5 @ 1 p.m. vs Edmonton
  • Saturday, Sept. 10 @ 5 p.m. at Edmonton
  • Saturday, Sept. 17 @ 3 p.m. vs Ottawa
  • Saturday, Sept. 24 @ 2 p.m. vs Winnipeg
  • Saturday, Oct. 1 @ 2 p.m. at Hamilton
  • Monday, Oct. 10 @ 2 p.m. at Toronto
  • Saturday, Oct. 15 @ 5 p.m. vs Montreal
  • Friday, Oct. 21 @ 8 p.m. vs Toronto
  • Sunday, Oct. 30 @ 11 a.m. at Montreal
  • WEEK 20 BYE

Very strange scheduling indeed, but the Week 20 Bye paid dividends for the Esks last season, maybe the Stamps can take advantage this season.
