I notice he got the least PP time except for Engelland (who got zero) of all the defencemen. I suspect it's because this gets Diaz some more ice, and Brodie plays more PK.

Brodie makes the odd insane decision in his own end, and I'm glad that Giordano is there to bail him out.
That said, many of the decisions I initially think are insane and high risk by Brodie end up with him spinning off a guy as the last man back, maintaining puck control, and sending the play up ice.
High risk/high reward for sure, and you can tell the guy is feeling confident to even be trying some of the moves he is as the last man back. Usually a couple times I'm dazzled by his one on one moves to make a defensive zone exit.
Gio seems a lot more steady and safer in his own zone. They compliment each other very well.
