Some pretty good predictions early in this thread, not off by much at all

There is just not enough scoring talent up front and this team is still a ways away from being a contender for the playoffs.

Even if they somehow shock the world I see them being like the Avs a few years ago and fall back to earth because the long term pieces have not matured enough to carry this team for the long haul and there is too big a gap between guys like Monahan and Gaudreau compared to Glencross, Stajan, and Hudler. Outside of Backlundthis team lacks top 6 forwards in the 22-27 age group

My "Bold Prediction" from October.

I was pretty optimistic going into the season. With the way last year went it stood to reason that if: improvements from our youngsters (something that should be expected), continued Gio awesomeness, if Hiller/Ramo could be a good duo, Gaudreau's NHL debut (I was confident in him as well) -- all happen, then we would have a shot at the post season. I chose to be optimistic on those fronts, because why the hell not?

Hopefully they can keep pushing.

I can't find anything but I'm sure I posted it some where.

I thought the playoffs we're a realistic possibility dependant on Gaudreau and Monahan. They both needed to be lights out and lucky for us, they have been!

I suppose we have to credit Aaron Ward for having a sense of humour too.

I can't lie.. I thought the Flames would bottom-out this year. I remember thinking: "Burke can't be serious about stating Calgary was a playoff team based on the last half of the season when asked at the draft lottery."

What a season thus far!

Now I feel like other teams are a bit wary of having to match up against the Flames. Sure, most fans may think they are nothing more than 1st round fodder, but the Flames are relentless and no lead is safe. A team this relentless and tenacious is dangerous.

And has become heavily redacted.

So, let me channel my inner Jim Rome here in this thread - for better or worse - before posting you should ask yourself "will what I say make this discussion better?"

In fact, that goes for all threads, but let's start here.

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.

Why are you making this TSN exclusive? Adding Leah Hextall to the list could be beneficial and attract new interested parties!
