This trade was an obvious steal... but giving the guy 1 game a month and having 3 goalies isn't exactly a path for anyone to succeed.

Still can't believe they gave up a 2nd for him though.

Also can't believe they started him in this game when they are tied with St.Louis for 1st... winning the division lets you avoid Chicago in the 1st round.

Pulled vs Sharks in his 2nd start as an avalanche. Just 10:11 mins into the game. Very much in the same form as a flame. I admit I defended him. I was wrong . I thought both Ramo and him would make it next year. Ramo will.. He is consistent. I would of like Berra too become successful but it won't happen this year at least.

He isn't going to get better playing 1 game a month, but there is still plenty of time for him to become a solid goalie.

I hope he does, but it's a great trade for the Flames regardless. Now they have to make that 2nd a worthwhile pick.

Wow -- I didn't realize that since 2004, the Flames have only drafted in the second round four times. Most recently was Sieloff in 2012. And of course Granlund and Wotherspoon in 2011. The only miss (so far) was Mitch Wahl in 2008.

As for Berra, I'm sure he'll turn it around eventually. Not sure where his ceiling is but the Av's have three years to find out!
