And the question of Obama's citizenship came up long ago and it was answered. Why wasn't it good enough?
I'm not accusing anyone here of racism, but this has never happened before. Is it just a coincidence that he happens to be black?

I personally dont care what color his skin is or whether he was born in the United States.
I was just interested in seeing his birth certificate. It has apparently been provided. Obviously some people will still say its fake or it could of been forged.

Why are you so interested?
We have an election on Monday. Are you compelled to authenticate Canadian citizenship of any individual running for office?

Why? Because he's a democrat?
Obama is no better then G.W. Bush. He signed the Patriot Act, he expanded the wars, and the economy is even worse off.
I'm not sure why people think Obama is a "better" president than Bush was besides being a more eloquent teleprompter reader.
Obama's not even black, he' mocha.

I edited my post almost right after I posted it..so some of what you posted is different then my post, but thats beside the point.
Why shouldnt I be interested?
I for one dont think it really matters where someone is born. If they are the right person for the job they will be elected. However the evidence of where they were born should be available before the election.

Well it was. He was vetted and scrutinized from the moment he entered the race for Illinois's 13th District. He didn't exactly join a fringe party.
Unfortunately politics have devolved into shock-jock tactics. Purposeful public discourse is the victim.

Perhaps people running for President/PM/etc should provide their birth certificates before they run. (although it wouldnt be definite proof)

I normally hate the race card being brought out, but this reeks of it. It is because he is a dark guy with a funny name. It is an embarrassment to the US IMO.

Appears to me like they already do that and have done so since time immemorial. It's only an issue now because some folks are racist.

My guess is that Obama produced proof of citizenship long before he ran for president. Maybe somewhere around the time he applied for a passport... or maybe when he registered for college.
Besides, you haven't addressed the biggest howler of all. It doesn't even matter where he was born, because the requirement is "born a U.S. Citizen." Which, even if he was born on Mars, he is. Because his mother is a U.S. Citizen.
Quite honestly, there is a subtext here: a guy with a funny name and dark skin is being subjected to more rigorous scrutiny over the notion of his birth and citizenship than any other presidential candidate in history. And you don't think that's racist? I don't think you know what racism is.

YAY! for US politics. As much as we try, our elections will never catch up to your silliness or bigotry.
We are just catching up to the M.L. deal. Lite.
What is wrong with your country? |Really?
It's broken.

And I gotta side with the Dems, on this one. Even if all lies are equal, here is the difference in practice...
The Dems asked or lied about issues: Use and nobility of the Iraq war, national security, the economy.
The Repubs asked or lied about: semen stains, birth certificates, numbers marching.
...???

Digging up dirt? This isn't digging up dirt. Obama was born in the United States, every piece of evidence points to that. He has much proof of his natural born citizenship as any other President and provided that proof long before running or holding any office. The only reason anyone brought this up was he's a funny named black man.

You obviously havn't ever stopped to listen to all the birther's questions and reasoning. You also fail to acknowledge that Obama unlike most canadates wrote a couple books about himself before thowing his hat in the ring. He gave people a lot of information about his life and some of it seemed not to add up.
Finally Obama was always in control of this. He could of produced this long form 2 years ago if he thought it would help him politically. He obviously seen more benefit in letting the questions stay out there. His handlers painted anyone who asked the question as racist and anyone who had an association with them as racist as well. Obama's handlers have been nothing but, masterful at playing the race card. It has been a great distraction for Obama as he spent and regulated America down the toilet.

When you build an argument on a faulty premise, your "reasoning" and "questions" proceeding from that reasoning can be safely ignored.
Nobody likes being told they are stupid. Yet, birthers are stupid, and there is no point in engaging with such morons in debate, as - being morons - they are unable to form coherent arguments, nor recognize them when they are presented.

Like what exactly? I'd like a little more detail on this sweeping generalization.
