He has value, its just not as high as it would normally be without all the noise around him. There aren't a lot of teams that would be able to take that cap or be interested in taking the risk. Teams like Carolina who were thought to have interest I don't think would be able to stomach the risk. I think his lackluster performance after Miller got traded further diminished his stock.
Anaheim? (Something around McTavish)
Utah? (Clayton Keller?? +)
Columbus? (Sillinger or Voronkov+)
Calgary? (Zary or Andersson +)
None of the above teams even do the deal without some $$ going back, hence why I suggested Sharangovich in the proposal.

Have always thought the same. Maybe also add Siegenthaler to that.

It would be interesting to see how this plays out. Colorado is ruining their team.

Sign me up for Necas being a solid addition, but agreed with cost and contract.
Cant foresee giving up the assets Colorado would covet from us.

If it is an option, I could see Colorado be all over Kadri and Rasmus (RS).
They need an upgrade on d and a 2nd line center.
Just not sure what else it takes, but cap is an issue in Colorado and Makar is a UFA soon.

You can't possibly be serious...Keller just had a 90 point season at 26
and +?
Petterson was probably the worst contract in the NHL last season

Would love to have Mercer but at the expense of young assets. Andersson/Kadri/Coleman are the pieces I would be ok with moving to add young centres. Also ok with including the 32nd overall pick this year as part of a deal for a young player like Mercer.

There could be a framework around Necas and Andersson maybe. But I'd still rather target a center.

Petersson is the Canuck’s version of Huberdeau right now with the caveat that they’d actually be able to get out from under his deal if they truly just wanted to dump him. My guess is he stays in Van

Mike Futa and Darryl discuss the playoffs with references to their time working together with the Kings where Darryl provided some good insight. It was really good and evident that Darryl is still following the league and watching the playoffs. Also a nice little part about Chris and his love of the Blue Jays. I find Darryl such an interesting guy as you can clearly see that he's a good guy outside of the game but there's always those episodes at the end of his tenures as Flames GM and head coach when it appears from the outside like he became unhinged.

I think Pettersson could flourish in a different situation. I think plenty of teams would be lining up to trade for him if he's actually available.

He makes 11.6, they wouldn't get a huge return
