That's all by design, and uneducated lemmings like Yoho fall for it hook, line and sinker.

I don’t think that clip makes her look as good as you seem to think though. It’s great for the people who already agree with her, but I wanted to hear what the other guy had to say there, and I have a feeling he’d have made her look like an amateur so she just kept cutting him off.

Good grief, can't even normalize being questioned on policy without being combative.

"What do you know that my experts don't know"

Were about to find out on many things, starting with her LifeWorks APP 'research.'

This is a punchline that's going to haunt her for years.

Good grief your allowed to respond back in kind to a heckler snowflake.

It takes real leadership to even wade into these debates. Notley would have the person kicked out and take no questions from them.

It didn't sound like that. It sounded like he was trying to make a point and she asked him "what do you know that my experts don't know?" She cuts him off there before he gets a chance to tell her, and someone else yelled batteries.

I wasn't there, so I have no idea. But I just think that these exchanges don't come off as well as supporters seem to think.

Social media snark has migrated to real-world political discourse. Politicians now respond to questions from journalists and members of the public like culture-warriors on twitter dunking on opponents for upvotes. And of course the partisan ####birds on twitter lap it up.

What makes Alberta so incapable that we can't build a nuclear power plant before 2035 when Ontario Can? Canada has an established Nuclear industry, established regulatory framework and experience in the industry. Even lowely new brunswick has a nuclear plant and was an earlier investor into SMR reactors than Alberta. Just more can't do attitude by our premier on the energy file.

Such a deluded narcissist, our Premier is.

'my' cabinet. 'my' experts. 'my' industry.

This is right from the article you linked:
Quote:
Securing a third generating station at Bruce Power will be a lengthy process, one that may take a decade and require the province to clear a number of regulatory hurdles. Public input and consultations with nearby communities, including First Nations, are prerequisites for the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission's multi-stage licensing process.

"A new nuclear reactor will take 10 to 15 years. We need to dramatically reduce our greenhouse gas pollution before 2030, and a new nuclear reactor can't do that, whereas wind and solar can be built in 12 months or less."

To build the plant, the province would need federal approvals. Smith, Ontario's energy minister, said Bruce Power would start community consultations on Wednesday and conduct an environmental assessment for federal approval to determine the feasibility of another nuclear plant.
So, I don't think it is very unreasonable for the Premier to be questioning whether or not a nuclear could be built by 2035. If it might possibly take Ontario ten years to build another reactor at an existing site it seems that a new development in Alberta would take as long or longer.

Nah, she lost that attention from educated and critical thinkers a LONG time ago. Smith's political career is perfectly summed up in the timeless quote: “Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.”

Man I wish I was close friends with Smith so I could leech and grift off this mess.

Really sucks not being an UCP-insider these days, they get all the benefits!

Objectively speaking, that was a pretty embarrassing display by a political leader. Anyone who thought that was a good "she owned that woke-ass lib" is living well within their echo chambers.
