Better chance of them missing the playoffs all together with regular season Bennett.

Friedman on 32 thoughts said that the Rangers are testing the market on K’Andre Miller. You would have to assume that Conroy would at least call about Miller. 25, big, left shot defenseman that skates well. Has had a couple down seasons, but I wonder if a change of scenery would help him

Personally I would target the Rangers for a few of the their players if the asking price isn’t overly high. They were good for a number of years and it wouldn’t surprise me if it was a randomly bad year sort of like that year the flyers randomly were the second worst team and got jvr.

I was thinking the same thing. Miller checks a lot of boxes for the Flames. It will be tough to determine his value - both in a trade and salary-wise - as he’s been pretty inconsistent to this point.

Rangers are also a good target as I bet most of our guys that have NTC would waive to play there.
Coleman, Rasmus 50% RS and FLA 1st
for
Miller and 12OV

Someone on this site a while back suggested Miller + the NYR 1st for Ras and maybe something else (Flames 1st?). Its a pipe dream but the kind I'm on board with.

I agree.
There’s a glaring hole on LD after Bahl and Miller could be a bit of a buy low candidate. Fits the age range too

Also a team that could be interested in a more “win now” player compared to other teams that have been thrown out in this thread

Nooo. He takes dumb penalties at bad times and is a pylon in his own end. My one friend is a Rangers fan so I watch a lot of Ranger games with him and he would be ecstatic if they got rid of Miller and I have seen why. Please God no.

I think Miller-Weegar would be a very good pairing. Bahl-Parekh and Kuz-Brzu as the others. Mobile and big d with lots of puck moving skill. Lots of rookies but IMO now is the time to baptise them in fire!

He definitely has holes in his game for sure, but I’d be intrigued to see what Huska can do with him. Huska has his detractors, but I don’t think that anyone can argue that he isn’t great at developing defensemen

But it comes with a 1st round pick that could potentially be used on a franchise center. Thats good!

If those Buffalo podcasters are suggesting San Jose might be good trade partners and OilFan's been saying that Raz is second on San Jose's wish list after Ekblad, then maybe a 3 way deal makes sense.
Something along the lines of sending Raz to San Jose, something of San Jose's to Buffalo (I think Eklund is overpay, but not sure what to replace him with) and Byram to Calgary? As the main components, obviously, with other bits and pieces or picks to even out value.

I'm still raw with Sutter donating Lydman to the Sabres.
