I'm sure it's been said many times already but plants vs. zombies is more addicting than oxycontin

Angry Birds, Cut the Rope, Diner Dash, Plants vs Zombies = life consumed for about $5-ish.

i sure don't get how i can use data all over alberta but calling edmonton is considered long distance... so long to that problem.

If I don't like the 'defense' type games, will I still enjoy this one? I am in dire need of a new 'toilet' game.

I love PvZ, and I am not a fan of the defense style games.

I've never been a big fan myself. I'd definitely cave and give this one a shot if I were you. I got hooked fast.

Canabalt is a great 1-2 minute time waster. Love it.

I love plants vs. zombies and I've never found another defense game I like in any capacity.

Bought PvZ after the glowing reviews here and it's probably the most addictive game I've played yet on the iPhone.

Doesn't seem to be available in the Canadian app store.

It's been pulled again. I nabbed it as soon as I saw the post about it. Stuff like that, you gotta move quick on.

Damn. They just hid the ability to run code instead of removing it. They should have learned the lesson from the C64 app debacle.

Anybody have the Navigon app? It's $60 but I'm thinking of going for it to replace my aging dash-mounted GPS.

I have the Canada/Alaska TomTom app for $50 and I really like it. I've tried both but I can't remember what it was about Navigon that didn't do it for me.

Quite the opposite for me. Bought the NA of both apps. i use Navigon in Canada but when I was in the states I found TomTom to be better.

The plus side of Navigon is its a universal app for iPad too (if you have an ipad 3g?)

Do you have a plan that gives you cheap roaming? I would have thought using your iPhone as a GPS when you're outside of Calgary would be expensive from the data side of things.

Data is not roaming when in Canada. (nationwide Data)
Second, the iPhone does not use Data when using GPS services on applications that download the full map (if you have an iphone with gps, i think this is anything iPhone 3G and up..). For the iPhone this includes Navigon and TomTom. Apps like Garmin download the maps over 3g so would need roaming if in the United States.

So with an iPhone data roaming could be turned off, you could be in the states, and Navigon and TomTom would provide you with GPS.
Same with an iPad 3G as this has a built in GPS. The WiFi version does not.
