I still think something around Byram and Andersson could make sense.

It's less likely but I don't think it closes their interest completely.

After the Kane trade we all know someone will take Arvidsson off their hands. Teams helping out the Oilers (especially in the same division) is baffling.

The trade for Peterka was a pretty underwhelming return. I am fully expecting a not great return for Andersson now.

Perhaps you missed it. Peterka is the winger. Kesselring is the RD. If you want to somehow infer the value of Andersson you should look at the guy who plays the same position, not a totally different position.

Andersson is a much, much better RD than Kesselring and Kesselring was one of two pieces to land Peterka.

Following the logic: Andersson+ should be able to fetch a much better piece than Peterka.
