Seems unlikely this deal happens.

How about its rephrased as Anaheim would be a fit and has lots of good young peices they could move. Anaheim is looking to take a step too.

Could be a good fot for both teams.

Anaheim also is stacked on D with more coming. They couldn't get everyone in the lineup consistently last year.

The only deals that can happen will be the ones that have happened. 1st rule of the deal is to make the deal. Or no deal.

Maybe we just pluck Konsta Helenius out of Buffalo for Andersson. Over .5 ppg as a 19 year old in the AHL? I mean more would be coming too but Helenius looks like a nice snag.

I wonder what the board's (over)reaction will be like if the weekend passes and no deals are made. Andersson is still here, and they don't trade up. Would Conroy rather have a first in 2026 or 2027 instead of this year? Aren't both of those supposed to be deeper drafts?

Next year is supposed to be for sure. But I think it’s best deal wins. He may have this years picks on the table and have to balance what’s better. This year likely is a sooner impact to the team … maybe for new arena

Can’t see Buffalo doing this for a couple reasons. One, Andersson likely wouldn’t resign there so they aren’t giving up Helenius for a rental. And they just acquired Kesselring so they addressed their RD.

Kesselring is a 3rd pairing d. That wouldn’t change a trade for Ras

Not that Ras is going there but this wouldn’t be the impediment

Trading up is hard and depends on what pick is offered. Anything lower than 15th then maybe worth taking a swing next year.

Would Utah be interested in this now:

4th Overall + Lawson Crouse (cap dump) + 2nd 2026 + 2nd 2025
For
Rasmus Andersson + Morgan Frost + Martin Pospisil + Henry Mews + 32nd OV?

If Kesserling is a 3rd pairing d, then so is Bahl.

Kesserling Career: 156GP, 12G, 41A
Bahl Career: 221GP, 7G, 38A

24/25:

Bahl CF%: 49.34
Kesserling CF%: 53.91

Bahl GF%: 44.66
Kesserling GF%: 56.47

Bahl xGF%: 49.07
Kesserling xGF%: 54.05

Kesserling isn't some complete dud, but it's still a soft return for Buffalo.

Rumours aren't always facts.

I doubt it was ever actually offered. Peterka isn't good enough to warrant 3rd OV

Hopefully Perry leaves Edmonton. He was their most consistent playoff performer, and I just hate seeing his face in our division. He should head out East in Florida or Toronto to whoever loses out on Marchand. Or go back to Dallas to get revenge on Edmonton next season.
