Yeah, I’m sure Andy is really upset with getting bumped by arguably the best post-season receiver of all time. So he gets a little passionate. That makes him who he is. And there are a lot of teams that would love to have that.

Yeah they needed to go for it in OT instead of kicking a FG. Defending 0 or 3 against Mahomes is almost the same.

All the promotion and marketing is towards the players and coaches - who actually do the damn work to win the thing - to have fans connect with them emotionally, but the climatic moment when the trophy is handed is to someone no one anyone knows.

The only owner I feel that would be justified in getting the trophy first is Jerry Jones. Because he IS the Cowboys.

The NHL fumbles on a lot of things, but the Stanley Cup presentation is one thing that they beat all of the other North American leagues at.

Also the 49ers doing nothing with Mahomes interception killed them, would have been a huge dagger to start the 2nd half.

Well Andy got him(Kelce) to focus and make a difference in the second half. I dontbthink Mahomes can play as long as Brady and get to 7 rings. But he's going to give it a run. He can afford to bring the team to Vegas gor a year end party. Purdy can't...that was the real difference in the game.

No...I think the in game war of attrition caught up with San Francisco and they didn't quite have enough gas to finish.

Also the subtle differences in the kicking game. Townsend handles a poor snap, gets it down, and it sneaks by a couple hands for 57 yards. Moody pulls a good snap and drives it into a guys hands.

You need a bit of luck to win these championship things.

Really what killed them is only getting a 7 point lead out of the first half where they badly outplayed the Chiefs.

And of course that bruuuuuuuutal turnover on that punt. Yikes. Still can't believe that happened.

Yeah
You just cannot give Mahomes extra chances to beat you.

I feel terrible for Greenlaw.

You work your entire life to get up to this point, and then you tear your Achilles on a freak play in the first quarter of the game.

Just heartbreaking

I think it was a well called game by all sides, Chiefs, Niners, and the refs. Happy for that. These conspiracy wack jobs can give it a rest. The Chiefs won the Super Bowl fair and square. They had one fortunate bounce, and the blocked PAT was obviously huge. Both teams played well enough to win. It was a coin flip game in its entirety.

Brock isn't the goat tonight, nor can you lay the blame on any single player or team. For those blaming Moody, he had to hit 53 and 55 yard field goals to get them there. It was a fun game for that alone, everyone played relatively well.

The team with the last possession at the end of the first half, second half, and overtime won the game. No surprise there. Mahomes was clutch when he needed to be, average the rest of the game.

Amazing edge of your seat 4th quarter and OT after a pretty dull 3 quarters before that. Couldn't have scripted the finish any better. Mahomes proves he's Brady's heir apparent, this time winning with a below average running game and receiving corps.

The Niners will be kicking themselves with so many chances to put the Chiefs away. The punt return fumble and missed PAT were bad luck but also some strange play calls. Thought they should have gone for it in KC territory after the Mahomes INT plus all those short yardage passing plays when the running game was grabbing chunks of yardage.

For those who only consider number of rings to determine GOAT, I think you're being shortsighted.

Brady has 5 SB MVPs and 3 NFL MVPs. Patrick has 3 SB MVPs and 2 NFL MVPs... and he's not even 30 yet.

If Mahomes finishes with equal SBMVPs and 2-3 more league MVPs, he's the GOAT, even if he falls 1 or 2 rings short of Brady.

Football is a team game.

Football is a team game and you need to win MVPs to be considered the greatest? Just win.

Shanahan is to blame here. He didn’t have his team prepared for the toss in OT with the new rules. He also didn’t just keep ponding the run on his last drive. 2nd and 5 at the KC 35, just run twice and at least you’d have forced KC to burn a timeout. And given the run defence likely got a first down.

The biggest compliment you can give Mahomes in any GOAT discussion is there isn't any element of his game that you can say he is appreciably worse than Brady is, and he's better at many things too. He's top five all-time already, that alone is pretty insane for six seasons as a starter.

The real question now is if this Chiefs team can become the first team to win 3 in a row.

Keeping Jones and Sneed is probably top priority, but if they can do that and then pick up a top receiver they will be tough to beat again.
