I've just noticed that the Miami Heat playing in the elimination game trailing the series 1-3 tonight and the Florida Panthers play the elimination game tomorrow night. It would be fun to watch Miami 2 championship games in back to back day.

It's insane that game 5 is tomorrow and if it goes 7, it won't be over until a week from today.

No, you made the claim that they were playing without their BEST forward, and I pointed out that none of their injured players were in the top (something, I can't remember... 3? 5?) in points during their regular season. The point was that they were in fact not missing their BEST player. I didn't downplay anything.

Would you rather face WPG or BOS in the first round? EDM or TOR in round two? What about DAL or CAR in the Conference Finals? Would you rather be Florida playing against Vegas for the Cup or the other way around?

Of course there are "harder paths." There are literal stats built around the concept of quality of competition.

Seems like Edmonton was better in the playoffs than Toronto

Both Edmonton and Dallas gave Vegas a harder series through 4 than the Panthers have.

And again, you earn your path it's not drawn out of a hat or something

Heck even the Jets have a blowout win vs. Vegas. So far the Panthers stole one game with a late goal.

hahaha, jesus christ. Anything you can do to run down the Panthers. What an outrageous thing to suggest, let alone believe to be true. How dare you attempt to deny the one truth in hockey: E = NG.

Go in the corner and feel ashamed of yourself now.

Super jealous right now. Have a blast dude!

Also, if Chucky doesn't even dress, Panthers are totally done tomorrow.

I didn't realize just how clutch Tkachuk has been these playoffs.

I wonder if Dino runs into any players at the Spearmint tonight.

You disagree? That's fine but you are biased

Why is it outrageous? They gave Vegas a much harder time than the Panthers are

Thank the maker the Oilers didn't make it to the finals

You go to Spearmint AFTER you win the cup, not the night before. That's the Vegas advantage.

The NHL should not be playing games into June. They could easily start 2-3 weeks earlier in the fall (mid September not the second week of October) and stop taking needless long breaks between series and cup final games. Game 7 potentially being June 19th is just stupid

Start October 1 and done by May 31.

If that means cutting games, so be it.

Dino notices Benny at Spearmint.

Dino - Hey Benny, why are you sitting in the corner by yourself?

Benny - I had to take a two minute time out

Dino - Makes sense

You never know how is goes from series to series though. It's a slog. Players get worn down and goalies can collapse. Skinner was already showing signs of coming down to earth.

With the way the Oilers overplay certain players, I think there is a good chance they would have collapsed in later rounds even if they got by Vegas.

I would tell the bouncer "that guy is 18, throw him out"

We don't know for sure but it certainly didn't look like the Leafs were playing better than the Oilers to me. I'm just glad they didn't make it...I don't think the Panthers could shut down their big guns.

Vegas is all knights right now... jersey's everywhere, random we want the cup chants... tomorrow is gonna be bonkers. Couldn't find anything on TV though...had to VPN home to watch SN and TSN on my phone.

Where are you staying?

It was on TV all over the strip when I was there for the 2018 playoff run. I recall getting it on the TV in my room too.

It was a ridiculously fun atmosphere back then due to the team being in the playoffs.
