Tkachuk has looked terrible for a while...like he could barely even play
credit where credit is due he is still smart enough to put himself in the right position to bang a puck into an empty net

Suspect? Dude can barely lift his arms and doesn't shoot in practice, lol. He's playing because it's the Stanley Cup Final, otherwise he'd be out of action for weeks.

I know what Florida did beating Boston, Toronto and Carolina, was really well done, especially for the latter two in such an efficient manner, but after watching Vegas thrash them it's pretty clear to me they simply overachieved in a run. Vegas is clearly a Stanley Cup team (which I honestly didn't see leading into the playoffs), but Florida has simply played over their heads leading to this. On paper they really shouldn't have been close to this and it was a Cinderella story. IMO, but I truly believe we won't see this. For chrissakes, Anthony Duclair and Nick Cousins are on the firsts line. Bennett is their second line centre! Their defence on paper looks like the lower 3rd percentile in the league. Yeah, they overachieved.

I've always been a big fan of Barkov, but his play in the finals has been incredibly disappointing.

Thought the two weeks off after would help (luckily he didn't get hit in that series), but after the hit he took in Game 3 here... I wonder if he's gonna need surgery now.
Doesn't really matter what Bob does. I can't see them winning anything with Tkachuk only having one arm out there.

Bleh. Point stands, flying is way more efficient than driving. 212 for YYC-LAS-YYC is awesome. I'll be there on Wednesday if you're still out there!

People are idiots...Pietrangelo suspension was never in question
THE GAME WAS OVER
I have seen scrums at the end of games where almost every single player is on the ice
besides if lumberjack wasn't being an sore loser as usual nothing at all would have happened
In Vegas now and its Bumpin! tomorrow night is gonna be something else

Tkachuk status unclear for Game 5, Panthers need others to step up
There was no update on Matthew Tkachuk on Sunday, and with the forward's health in question, the Florida Panthers will rely heavily on those who are feeling good in the Stanley Cup Final.
"You know what, it's more important to get rest for the players who aren't banged up, because they're going to have to drive this thing," Panthers coach Paul Maurice said Sunday.
...
In a 3-2 loss in Game 4 on Saturday, Tkachuk went 10:41 of the third period without playing a shift, sitting on the bench because of an undisclosed injury. He was on the ice for the final 2:26, after Florida pulled goalie Sergei Bobrovsky and then was on a power play for the final 17.4 seconds.
"Just trying to find a way to go out there and make it work tonight and came up just probably a second short," Tkachuk said postgame. "Time ran out there with me and [forward Sam Bennett] whacking away, so two more seconds there, you never know."
Maurice said there was nothing new to report on Tkachuk and center Eetu Luostarinen, who sustained an undisclosed injury in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Final against the Carolina Hurricanes on May 24. Anthony Duclair also missed the first 8:14 of the third period in Game 4 with an undisclosed injury before returning.

Tkachuk and Duclair banged up. Luostarinen. Montour missed a chunk of Game 4 as well. These guys have all been playing "playoff hockey" since February and have had a much harder road to get here than Vegas and their $100M roster did.
Pretty crapy way to end it. I'm still hoping they can pull it off though! Just win the next one, get some momentum and use that to win the one after that and then just bury Vegas under their own pressure for Game 7.

Its not Vegas's fault they had a #### regular season
in fact Vegas would have missed the playoffs if they had the Panthers regular season

These injuries all happened this series I think. I think Duclair took a puck from one of his own guys IIRC. I think Mountour hit his shoulder into the boards. And of course Tkachuk took that big hit two games ago.

just pointing out the excuses are dumb, seems you are taking it personal
I remember you downplaying Carolina missing two of their better forwards
Whoever wins the cup wins it...their is no "harder path" or other nonsense
you earn your path

Luostarinen was against Carolina and I'm 100% positive Tkachuck's shoulder thing started in Game 1 vs Toronto, with the hit in Game 3 here being the obvious finisher.
The difference in the level of competition is pretty stark though. If Vegas wins, they'll have had to beat WPG, EDM, DAL and FLA, but for Florida to win, they'll have had to go through BOS, TOR, CAR and VGK.
(Also, I feel like I combined about 8 different tenses in that sentence.)
