he got a wildcard into qualifying, won 3 matches AND a 1st round match proper.
That's 70 rankings points added to the 26 he had already and about $50,000
Jumps from 772 to 416 in the world, hope that gets him into some decent futures events.

Genie getting a horrible break now because of the AELTC. She was in the middle of the second set of her match when played was stopped yesterday. So of course the AELTC decides to start another match first on the same court, with the conclusion of Genie's match second. Well sure enough the match that started is now stopped because of rain. So instead of finishing Genie's match and probably not even starting the other one, they now have two matches stopped right in the middle. Of course Genie got stiffed so a British player could play first, and of course she has a British opponent next whenever this disastrous schedule gets worked out. Brutal.

She's looking solid, too. Just earned the break to go up 4-1 in the second set. What a gong show though. The schedule is a mess.

Wow Bouchard's game is volatile.
A win's a win though. Congrats to Genie!

Julien Benneteau givng Nishkori a run for his money on centre court. May be in for a long 5-setter there. Or potential upset.

Benneteau currently ranked number 547 in the world as of now after reaching a career high ranking of 25 in late 2014.

Muguruza out with ease in the second round. There has been no bigger death sentence to success at Wimbledon than being the ladies #2 seed. Since 2012 not a single woman ranked #2 has made it past the third round.

Anyone watching the Joao Sousa vs Dennis Novikov match? Both guys playing at a warp speed pace of play.
The anti-Nadal players if you will.

Konta is a tough opponent and she will have the home crowd support behind her, good luck Genie.

Jiri Vesely is at it again - He gave Milos all he could handle at the AEGON Championships a couple of weeks ago and currently leads Dominic Thiem two sets to love.

Radwanska has faced match points and her opponent has served for the match 3 times. And she's still alive.
Edit: And she won....miracle.
