This is according to an acquaintance of mine that works in a very progressive environment.
Texas must be, ironically, at the leading edge of woke.
It arose from a meeting I was in and I used the phrase "You People". It used in an innocuous way, at least I saw it as that. Several in the room did not.

I hate the word “y’all”, especially when written. People trying to sound sassy or something. It’s completely pointless and doesn’t save any keystrokes. It’s like whatever the opposite of an abbreviation is, for “all”. Why not just write out, “Hi All” instead?

I've been using "folks" as a substitute in my woke crusade. Haven't been cancelled...yet.

I only use it in written form to be a dick.
But conversationally it seems to have seeped in, in fact this week I was speak to around 100 people and it slipped into a sentence.

Drives me crazy how companies revenue generating groups always capitulate completely to the cost centre groups 100% of the time due to weak managers on the revenue generating groups.
You were out $2300 on your accruals on your $20MM of 87 ongoing projects.

How many lasagnas can you fit in the overhead bin if you line up before your zone is called?
