You realize you are outright failing to argue here right just to have some weird narrative about the Bloc's motives?

|
TLDR just because the Bloc Quebecois / Parti Quebecois isn't promoting a sovereignty referendum today as they know there is currently no appetite to reopen the question by Quebecers, doesn't change that this is their ultimate goal and reason for existing and will continue to remain.

Isn't Singh also trained in MMA? He would have had that nerd on the ground, tapping out in under 30 seconds lol. Loved seeing that guy shrink in fear after being asked if he said it.

I never said the Bloc isn't separatist, I just said their primary strategy is not that right now. Quebec politics in recent years is about building a nation within a nation. Blanchet knows that as well as anyone.

It's a bit odd, though, because the poll - which is very recent - was based on the alternative that the parties work together on individual items. That is very obviously not happening, and to the extent that one party is more to blame for that than the others, it's the LPC, who take active steps wherever possible to shut down any progress on any issue or inquiry that is politically harmful to them. So if the follow up question to those respondents is, "what if they won't work together? Then do you think we should have an election?" one wonders what the actual will of the public is here.
I guess the other point to make is that to the extent anyone responding to that poll is even remotely informed about the current state of the electorate and how the three major parties are performing, they'd know that an election now means a PP-led CPC government, so to some extent, it's a referendum on that outcome. It's not surprising that 56% of people don't want that, because according to the same poll (IIRC) the CPC has 45% support (to 25% for the LPC and 16% for the NDP). So 56% against an election that would make PP the PM, and 45% in favour of PP being the PM, all lines up pretty well.

I had to watch that clip a few times because my initial thought was that it was a racial slur, in which case I could understand Singh's reaction.
Calling a politician -- any politician -- "corrupted" is pretty standard boilerplate heckling.
Singh was ticked off because apparently they've been harassing lots of other people, including visitors to the Hill.

The way he turned around I was expecting him to pull off the Henry Cavill Arm Reload.

One of them spat on an MP back in June. Same cowardly reaction when confronted

Glad you agree there's more than enough reason for Bloc to be voting for confidence in the Libs next week then. No need to vote against it. Exactly what a smart political party should be doing.
