Carpenter being hit is 100% Sherman's fault. The following lack of penalties and proper field position change is 100% the refs fault

Listen for the whistle.

It just proves that the whistle was too late. It wasn't blown until after Sherman touched the ball.
As far as the NFL fining Sherman, that is just standard procedure for a league that covers that butts to media reaction.

the broadcast showed a stat last night that the Browns franchise has never had an all-time W/L % below .500 (NFL games only). After last night's loss they are 461-461-10.
The new Browns are 87-195. The current team is on a 3-28 run which means that they have the same record as the Bucs did during their legendarily inept introduction to the NFL. Tampa won to go 4-28. The Browns pay Pittsburgh next week...

Just insane how bad this iteration of the Browns has been. To make matters worse, during the 18 seasons this current version has been around, the original Browns franchise has won 2 Super Bowls, one featuring arguably the greatest single season defence in NFL history. That franchise is just cursed.

Carpenter being hit is 100% the refs fault. Not 99%, you have to expect players to play until a whistle, otherwise FGs are kicked, Aaron Rodgers will heave the ball 50 yards on a free play or whatever.

Play was blow dead. Even if Carpenter hits it it wouldn't have counted.

At what exact point was the play blown dead?
http://www.sbnation.com/lookit/2016/...wks-field-goal
This says it was after contact, which is what I remember when I was watching. So Sherman would have to be psychic to know the kick would not have counted.

This is why the NFL is losing ratings as much as anything else. It would be interesting to be a fly on the wall at NFL meetings. I picture a bunch of bully NY lawyers who have a very short list of things they care about but among them to push everyone around so they know who is boss.
Anyone with any kind of football experience can see that Sherman's only fault is being offside. And by sheer coincidence he was outspoken last week about how nobody in the league is having fun, that shows and people like the league less.

I love Sean Payton's strategy this game. Run game has been fire the past couple weeks, going up against a D struggling against the run, but has the #1 pass D: PASS PASS PASS PASS PASS 😠

Doubt they fire someone who is without their starting running backs. Without Lacy/Starks it is hard to have someone jump in and fill that role. Without a decent running game it changes the whole dynamic of Rodgers.

NFL should offer refunds to fans who have to watch games like TB-CHI. Awful game.

Carolina is punishing KC. Chiefs look dreadful. They'll never go anywhere until they toughen up for games like this. They always get run out of the stadim in match ups like this.

Injuries are bad for Packers sure, but they've been playing bad football all year. Only time they look impressive is against really inferior opponents. Jacksonville almost beat them so that tells you a lot.
McCarthy needs to go but won't till seasons end. They need to revamp a lot of their staff. Message is very clearly stale and I think players lost a lot of faith in McCarthy after the Seattle debacle.

Well if McCarthy won't be getting fired, Capers will be to spare Mike.

Vikings season continues to unravel. Gotta like the Lions in that division.
