Good job Nick!
Quote:
Detroit Lions defensive tackle Nick Fairley was arrested for the second time this offseason early Sunday morning and charged with driving under the influence and attempting to elude police, Fox10TV.com reported.
The Alabama State Troopers told Fox10TV.com that Fairley was arrested shortly after 1 a.m. in Mobile, Ala.
Fairley was also ticketed for reckless driving, having an open container and no proof of insurance, the report said. Fox10TV.com said Fairley posted $1,750 bond and was released shortly after 9 a.m. on Sunday.

The Dolphins will be featured on Hard Knocks this year... I don't find them all that interesting as a team, but I'm sure it will be entertaining as always... And hopefully plenty of scenes with Ryan Tannehill's wife will make it worth watching.

Super stoked about the Dolphins being on hard knocks!!!!!!!! The dolphins do have a fairly big nation wide fan base in the states eventhough it doesn't show at Dolphins home games they are popular with the older generation.
May not interest most people but the series has always interested me no matter what team it is on.

Would have been much better if Marshall was still on the team.

That's likely the end for TO when it comes to football as the Allen Wranglers of the IFL have cut him.
Quote:
“Our fans are amongst the best in the league and it is impossible to maintain a player when even our fans notice and comment on a player’s lack of effort both on and off the field,” owner Jon Frankel said. “We need to do what is best for this team, our fans and this community.”
|
Quote:
Team president and co-owner Tommy Benizio chimed in, too. With gloves fully off.
“It is difficult to look other players on this team in the eyes and tell them that being a team player is important . . . that giving it your all on the field every night is our expectation, when another member of this team is not operating by these standards,” Benizio said. ”The proverbial straw that broke the camel’s back for Mr. Owens was his no-show to a scheduled appearance at a local children’s hospital with other Wrangler players and coaches. It is not the desire of the Allen Wranglers’ organization to disappoint fans by having our most notable player miss a scheduled appearance.”

The Pro Bowl isn’t dead yet.
Despite talk of suspending the game after this year’s poorly played contest, the NFL announced Wednesday that there will be a Pro Bowl in 2013. The game will be played in Hawaii once again, ending speculation that it would be played at the Superdome the week before the Super Bowl. The decision came after negotiations between the league and the NFL Players Association about the future of the game.
“The players have made it clear through the NFL Players Association that they would like the opportunity to continue to play the Pro Bowl in Hawaii,” said NFL Executive Vice President of Football Operations Ray Anderson. “We will support the players on this initiative to improve the Pro Bowl. We have had many discussions with the players in recent years about the Pro Bowl and they recognize that the quality of the game has not been up to NFL standards. We look forward to working with the players toward the goal of improving the competitiveness of this season’s game.”

Read that it gets more ratings than anyone other All-Star game in this continent. So makes sense for NFL to continue doing it since people are still watching it.

24 year old Asher Allen mysteriously retires today.
2 Concussions in 3 seasons could be a reason, but as he hasn't really explained the reason. Too bad for Minnesota as he was an effective Nickle back and sit in CB

I know the Pro Bowl gets good ratings, which speaks to how much Americans love football that they'll watch a live abortion in droves. Its still an unspeakably awful football game. I'd rather watch preseason quite frankly.

So, there is a leak that alleges the Saints players kept a ledger of the bounty program in 2009. It supposedly shows a record of "cart off" payments in a game against the Bills. 4 Bills left that game due to injury. The problem? 3 of the 4 were on defense.
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...ounty-program/
Then, there is another leak to amend the first leak, stating that the game was actually the Panthers game later in the season. The problem? Only one player was injured in that game, a linebacker that tore his ACL backpedaling during pass coverage...

I sure would like to see the light at the end of the tunnel in the near future, even if it is an oncoming train.

You gotta give Justin Blackmon credit....at least he waited until after he was drafted to get that DUI. And not just a DUI, but aggrevated DUI.

Seahawks lose 2 of their OTA days (tomorrow and Thursday) due to a violation of the CBA involving offseason contact.

Well beyond the fact what he did was reprehensible, how does he not take the plea deal for 4 years? Bet he wishes he could have that one back. For a sense of irony if I was the judge I would have given him 15 years for getting with a 15 year old.
