Michael: Should I bring a dictionary!?
Oscar: No. The Hospital will provide dictionaries...bring a thesaurus instead.
what am i missing here? I just dont get it? as soon as I heard it I looked at my roommate, he didnt get it either. Is it just Michael being ridiculous? otherwise all I heard was a loud whooshing noise.
That cat being thrown into the ceiling tiles, and then coming back down, was the funniest Office moments of all time.
Fixed.
I am sure there have been funnier moments, but I can't think of them right now as I haven't watched the old episodes in a while. But the cat thing was totally epic.
The first time I saw the prank where Jim put Dwight's desk in the bathroom I was laughing for 5 minutes straight. Probably my favorite prank, that and when Jim became Dwight.
Ever since Jim and Pam got together I haven't been able to stand them. The perfect sweetness sickens me. They need to create some conflict somehow. Make the baby die. SOMETHING. Maybe that's a bit harsh for The Office, but you get the idea.
Edit: Whoops, I just noticed I posted this exact same thought earlier in this thread. It still stands, however!

What do you mean bounce back? What are they bouncing back from? Season 5 was solid.
Season 6 has been dissapointing for me to say the least, although apparently some people are enjoying it. Last night's episode was decent.
I think the episode a couple of weeks ago really epitomizes the fall of the show, when they just showed clips of all old shows. That's how you know your writers are running out of material!
I've seen the first 5 seasons 2x+, and sometimes watch them now and there are a lot more laughs than in season 6.
I guess I haven't watched the show as much as you have, but it seemed that over the last couple of years they kept trying the same storylines over and over again (Michael's awkward meetings, retreats/functions in off-site locales). Also they frequently had 1 hour episodes which just dragged out the storylines and did not add any quality to the show. It seemed like they were filling time for the sake of the network, not the sake of the show.
This season they've changed up the storyline with the sale of Dunder Mifflin and the impacts of that. They have also "re-invigorated" some of the side characters. All while keeping to the basic 30 minute format that sitcoms are suited for.
Oh, to have time to watch an entire television series twice! Must be nice.
Speaking of last season, I found the one opener with Dwight conducting the real/false fire alarm to be the funniest thing I have seen in a long time. My wife and I were both in tears by the end of that scene from all the laughing.
Cat crashing through the ceiling tile = Awesome
Agreed. I have seen every episode to date and that opening scene was the best they've ever done.

Oh god that is actually my favorite Office episode to date....I honestly almost died laughing at the cat scene.

OMG! You reminded me of when Dwight wore the CPR mask. THAT is the best thing ever to be filmed on television. I tried to use that as my avatar here but I can't find a picture of it.
