Well the past couple episodes have been pretty good. Pam sure got "big" after like 2 episodes.

My favourite moment from last night's baby episode was:
<SPOILER> was when Pam breastfed the wrong baby
Awesome

This has been a good "bounce-back" year for The Office. My wife and I have really enjoyed the episodes and particularly the Erin-Andy interactions, Michael and Jim as co-managers, and the return of crazy Dwight.
I'm still not a fan of the 1 hour episodes, although there were enough good pregnancy/baby jokes last night that us parents could enjoy it. Not sure how it would have played with the youth / twenty-something set though.

I am missing the old office actually. I know that the show is supposed to be a little off the wall and its not supposed to be "real life", but that entire first half of the show where they were holding off until midnight to go to the hospital was just stupid. It was barely funny, (save for the usual hilarity of Michael being Michael and Kevin being Kevin!).
I loved the show when it was more like real office though. The whole Jim-Pam relationship kind of made it too soap-opera like for me I guess.

If anything the show has gotten away from that as all the first 3 seasons were about was Jim/Pam sexual tension and soap-opera.

While the show will never equal how amazing it was in season 2 and 3, I've definitely enjoyed this season and this show is still the most consistent of any network comedy.
Meridith's Like Clooney last night killed me and Michael smoking a cigar.

That part was so predictable. I knew as soon as Jim grabbed the baby he grabbed the wrong one. It was funny yes, but I saw it coming from a mile away.
Oh, and Pam's sister is hot. How the hell does she like Dwight?
The Dwight and Angela situation is quite laughable too, Dwight is regretting signing that paper me thinks after seeing Pam's sister again.

I was slow last night not realizing it wasn't Pams baby so it got a good laugh out of me.
Dwight writing in the contract to be refereed to as Morepheous was great.

Oh yeah! haha, and he tried to name the baby "worf".
The best part for me was when it showed Dwight in Jim and Pam's house listening to some metal just totally demolishing the kitchen with his buddies. I just lost it!

My wife and I had our first baby 2 weeks ago so we thought it was pretty hilarious. Jim's reaction to the lactation consultant was classic and the nurse was bang on.

I've heard from a number of people how realistic the whole experience was portrayed especially the nurse.

I love the fact that Jim and Pam picked the same name for their first born as we did.

What do you mean bounce back? What are they bouncing back from? Season 5 was solid.
Season 6 has been dissapointing for me to say the least, although apparently some people are enjoying it. Last night's episode was decent.
I think the episode a couple of weeks ago really epitomizes the fall of the show, when they just showed clips of all old shows. That's how you know your writers are running out of material!
I've seen the first 5 seasons 2x+, and sometimes watch them now and there are a lot more laughs than in season 6.

Word of advice, coming from a former baby...
Andy was so awesome. That story about how his parents changed his name at age 6 is so awkward and horrible. I love the return of evil Michael. Kind hearted, bumbling idiot Michael just doesn't do it for me. Evil Michael is far more like David Brent, having him back makes the show way better.
Dwight and Angela are of course amazing. One of the funniest subplots of the whole series.
Edit:
Michael: Should I bring a dictionary!?
Oscar: No. The Hospital will provide dictionaries...bring a thesaurus instead.

Ugh, the last show reactivated my gag-reflex to the max. Wayyy to much sappy hospital stuff in there that the majority of us don't care about, and more importantly, don't find funny.
Ive really grown to dislike Jim and Pam and how they are supposed to be this perfect couple. The sugary sweetness makes me want to puke, and they've grown to be rather obnoxious to everyone else (remember when Pam told everyone in the office not to wear perfume, because it made her feel nauseous?). I really hope now that there's a baby it doesnt become the Jim and Pam and Baby show. It's just not funny.
This season hasn't been a bad one, but the show needs to go back to what made it work, Michael Scott. Just like when the Simpsons went to focusing their stories away from Homer, thinks went south. The Office needs to go back to the core of what makes this show great...Michael Scott being his awkward and inappropriate self, and everyone else playing a supportive role around that inappropriateness. That and Goodbye Toby jams.

I thought last night did a good job of not pushing to much Jim/Pam romance on us and found a way to stay comedy based. I think they did a good job straying away from it becoming the Jim/Pam show once they got married and it won't be now that they have a baby. Not to mention there was a ton of secondary story building through Andy/Erin and Dwight/Angela

Agreed, the only reason I could like the majority of the baby stuff in the episode is I just went through that 9 months ago with my wife. Had I not I could defnitely see my interest dropping during most of the episode.
Things I liked in the episode:
-the "thesaurus" line
-Andy (as usual)
-Dwight's extreme home makeover scene with the metal blaring
-Stereotypical 1920-1930's rich guy voice while smoking a cigar (who hasn't done this?)
-the ultimate feast or whatever it was called, kept making me think of Futurama and the Nibblonians.
Edit: Oh and yes Table 5, I stalk you from SSP to over here and back again. I'm hiding behind the plants.

Ha, don't think I can't see you behind that ficus!
Come to think of it everything in that episode outside of Jim and Pam was pretty funny. Probably because nobody there tries to be more than what they need or should be. Andy is pure gold, and the 2 seconds of Dwight remodeling to the music was great. Jim needs to go back to being the normal nice guy, and Pam needs to go back to being the frumpy secretary.
Can't wait to see how the whole Dwight-Angela-Sister thing plays out. Something tells me there will be a breach of contract.

Speaking of last season, I found the one opener with Dwight conducting the real/false fire alarm to be the funniest thing I have seen in a long time. My wife and I were both in tears by the end of that scene from all the laughing.
Cat crashing through the ceiling tile = Awesome
