Thanks for all the hard work photon! I'm happy to wait this out and hope that it really works out for CP. I was looking at rackster's web page and $55 per month for basic collocation seems like a steal. Wouldn't mind hosting a personal server there for that price if everything ends up working correctly (unless anyone know of something comparable in the Calgary area??).

Nothing I'm aware of in Calgary comes even remotely close to that, I even tried to work something out that included free advertising.. (Calgarypuck brought to you by Whatever Networks).
There's a couple of places out east that have even better deals (about the same price, but more stuff included), but I can't remember their names.

I still have problems with multiple computers connected directly to the modem.

That's interesting because when I connect through a proxy I do not see any ping packets being lost while at the same time when I run a tracert directly without a proxy I see the ping packets being lost.
If it were attributed it to the network being busy, wouldn't I see the packet loss on both connections?

Advice for anyone still getting the slowness: If you're using firefox, get the add on Phzilla (Phproxy) Open the site here with it, and no more slowness. Now I'm not a big computer guy, so maybe this add on is bad in some way, but it's working perfect for me.

You said it. Calgary is a colocation waste land.

Yeah, no updates from them yet, don't expect any changes for another week at least I think.

I changed my ip address by cloning the mac address from my pc to my router.
Went from
174.0.75.xxx
to
174.0.91.xxx
forum and site is now working like it was before.
maybe you can suggest this to people who are having connections problems.
Hopefully I can access nhl.tv now too.
Thanks for your quick replies to my status requests.

I checked with them and they said "end of next month" for the new network connection, so I emailed back asking if I could contact Cogent to escalate this, that you guys can get a new IP and have it work fine shows it's a network issue.

I've still got the same IP as before myself, although the problem isn't as bad (sometimes pages don't fully load, but they load faster than before or get further before stalling), the problem is still there. So I wouldn't say it's totally solved, but if something has been done recently, it has helped some.
Still though, it's not usable for me to follow game threads in real time anymore because it never loads totally to get to the end of a thread page sometimes to get to the point where it loads the quick reply. I suppose I could reduce the number of posts displayed per page (I think I have it set to the maximum number) though and that might be a temporary work around.

Really? How about others?
I spoke with them today and he still didn't know when they'd get the new line, I'm getting their manager to call me.
