I hate the stampede. I hate the crowds and the stupid tourists and idiots who go there. I read what you had to say and i agreed with it but it got me thinking. I honestly thought "Am i that much of a humbug"? Do I have so much of a hate on that I am missing a good thing? I really thought about it and i decided that i would go. For better or worse i would go the the hated Stampede again just to justify my hate. I knew i would hate it, its full of idiots and posers and overpriced rides and games. Thanks to you TTC i went to the Stampede on the last day and i had a damn good time! Thank You Thank You!!! Got there at 10am and didn`t leave until after midnight. I didn`t ride a single ride and i never touched a beer. I spent 13-14 hours there and i spend a grand total of 80 bucks on myself. (Rodeo Finals plus food and treats) The fireworks alone were worth it...simply an amazing encore on the final day. I plan on going to the Stampede on last day every year from now on plus participating in the festivities.
I suggest you just try it. I skipped the Stampede and anything attached to it for 16 years. I was just the same as you are now, hated every aspect of it. Hell i already pre-hated the day i was going. But I had so much fun that i did a 180. If you want to do rides find some coupons for Calaway Park just before a visit to the Stampede so you can save some money.
Seriously, put aside the hate for just a moment. Go for one day..just one day. You turned me away from being a hater......just try it yourself.

Sure...plus-we could have a CP database of parties/locations/requirements, etc. I've been to parties in the past where all you needed was a non-competing business card to get in.
It's all about the info.
