What a finish in SD. The Panthers just scored a TD with no time left in the game.

I was able to turn to the game just in time to see the final play. What a play by Delhomme. High snap, pump fake that he almost lost and a great throw to the back of the end zone.
If the Broncos can put down the Raiders tomorrow night, they will have a chance to go up 2 games on the Chargers at home next week.
Couldn't ask for a better scenario to start the season!

Big win for the Saints today, Brees and Bush were fantastic. Looks like the Saints finally have a corner in Tracy Porter, played great for a rookie, and the Saints D looked improved. How about the NFC south, Falcons get it done (I'd hang myself if I were a Lions fan), Saints and Panthers (I hate them, but they were clutch on that final drive).

Now you know what it felt like to be a Pats fan prior to when you jumped on the bandwagon!!
The Lions look terrible again this year losing to one of the worst teams in the league in embarrassing fashion, but at least Brady is gone for the year so overall it was a positive day!

Sorry for you Pat fans.
The wake will last for weeks on all the NFL news shows, unfortunately.

It sucks for the NFL and the Pats that Brady is possibly out for the year but imo the division is suddenly wide open for takings if he is out for the year. Is there a decent free agent qb that the Pats might sign?

Me neither.
I for one will very much enjoy his absence - however, I am already tired of hearing of it.
But to suggest this is bad news for the NFL is silly.
Cheers to a far more interesting season!

Maybe they can lure Grandpa Vinny out of retirement again.

I'm not a fan of the Pats but that's disappointing news to hear, if true. As someone who just enjoys watching the games and seeing the best players perform, it's unfortunate to see likely the best player not playing the games.

Sadly, that was my first thought as well. This is why you need to take advantage of opportunities when they arise. The blown 16-0 season looks even worse now. And why would they raise a banner for that? Ugh.
Disappointing start of a season for sure.

Is Brady really going to be out that long? I watched the game, and he walked off the field. Moss looked unstoppable. The Pats have a soft schedule, and if they can hold it together until he gets back, they would still be dangerous.
Tough day for QBs - the Chief's rookie QB got knocked out - Romo was lucky he didn't get badly hurt after one hit.
The Browns looked bad on defence - no pressure on Romo - Braylon Edwards is seriously out of game shape.

Croyle is actually a third year guy....but him getting injured, isn't much of a surprise. Thats why they keep Damon Huard around, they know he'll see a fair bit of game action.
I think the Pats can survive with Cassel, he has great weapons to work with, and they have smart coaches. They'll figure out a way to simplify the offence and let him get the ball in the hands of those guys. Fart Brady became a Superstar when injury gave him a window to play, not saying it will happen again, but that is how many NFL guys get their shot at that position. But if Brady is out, the AFC suddenly opens up for a lot of teams. Still the Superbowl isn't given out in week one.

I walked off the field when I wrecked mine, too (well, I walked off the pitch. I was playing soccer) so I won't be surprised if it's his ACL.

Wow, everyone knows I hate the Patriots more then anyone but at the same time I don't wish injuries upon the enemy. Big loss for the Patriots.
Colts are sucking big time right now. Down 15-6 against the Bears at halftime. It's been a real sloppy half. The offense needs to pick it up in the 3rd quarter or it's going to get ugly. Come on Indy, wake up!
