I agree with coordinating team name and perhaps jersey design with the 360 team.

Kind of neat idea coordinating with the 360 folks. What if they're design looks like ass though?

We may have to do some screen shot action so the people without the game can be involved in the selection process of logo's and jerseys. That way we can gather opinions and start the team (I'm thinking this would be a 3-4 day process). When people grab the game down the line we can pick them up as free-agents. Would that be cool? Just my idea ... please feel free to argue if you'd like.

^^^Shouldn't be a problem Flash. I think you're allowed to have up to 50 players per team, if I've heard correctly.

Flash, definitely not too late to get in, just post your info and you're golden.

As for our team name and jerseys, it appears that the "Create a Team" feature is nearly the exact same as it was in NHL 08, which is disappointing. That's what I've read in some of the forums anyway.
Now, I don't have NHL 08 because I just bought my PS3 a couple months ago, but if anyone does have it and wants to mock up some jerseys, that would be cool.
As for the name, the only 2 I've heard suggested have been the Calgary Puckers and the Calgarypuck Fata's...so why don't we just have a vote between these two names.
Again, I dig the Fata's, even if we can't have the dancing Rico Spiderman .gif on our jerseys.

It looks as if people won't be getting the game until tomorrow or Thursday, so I figure if we give the weekend and then a few days next week to get used to "be a pro", let people try different positions, that should be enough time to figure out some preferences.
Then sometime next week we can start thinking about setting up the squad online.
Let me know what you guys think.

This thread is larger however.

My suggestion for uniforms is to see if we can copy or get close enough to being the same as the previously posted jerseys, eg, Flames uni with Ottawa 67's alternate logo.

I was thinking we could make a dummy/placeholder team while all the design decisions are made. Once everybody is ready to rock next week we could just start the real team and dissolve the old one. That would give us an opportunity to try out different positions and get a feel for the game.
