Sorry, wasn't directed at you individually. I read your original post and while I can give you the benefit of the doubt for your viewpoint being a Canadian in the US I still think it's gross to be OK with Edmonton winning lol.

I was more commenting on the other examples I've seen over the past two playoffs, like people who live in Calgary - to me that's an inexcusable offence.

This is a bit of a side tangent, but on the note of bitter rivalries does anyone else get annoyed by the narrative that always gets recycled while defending the current playoff format and how it helps 'create rivalries'? To me that's total malarky. You can't force a rivalry, you just need to let them happen naturally.

Didn't read it. Don't need to. Oilers loss is the only acceptable outcome.

My unsolicited suggestion is that this thread be shut down immediately in the unlikely and unimaginable event that loser of a franchise takes the lead in the series.

Just don’t know why a person or persons would come here and mess with karma.

Would you trade an Oilers cup win if it meant Calgary wins the draft lottery and gets McKenna next year ?…..

What a disgusting thread. I hope the Oilers never win a game for the rest of my life.

I was on a field trip last week for my kid’s kindergarten class. The other K teacher is a coilers fan and we had a nice chat. She asked me if I was behind her team and of course I said hell no, albeit very respectfully. She admitted and confirmed that no fan of that team would ever cheer for the Flames. So there you have, not even a kindergarten teacher would cheer for us if the roles were reversed.

Then remind yourself of David Staples tweeting about hoping the Blues/Wild would knock the Flames out of the playoffs and it becomes a nice toxic cocktail of mutual disdain.

All that to say….wholly, unequivocally and voraciously: GO PANTHERS!!!

I vote that we make him walk barefoot over a 100 meters of scattered LEGO.

These 7 posters should be tarred and feathered. Outside of This post is terrible, and Ruttiger since he's already been covered in tar.

I actually totally understand

I know a lot of people take it to next level and can't accept cheering for anyone but the Flames, that's totally okay, but I actually enjoy the game of hockey and its nice to see Oilers go far. I grew up in Calgary but moved to Edmonton in 2010, my family and friends have tried hard to convert me but failed, lol...but I do kinda cheer for the Oilers only because a lot people close to me are their huge fans and it makes me happy to see them happy

I was just thanking him for having the courage to construct a post like that on this site. I’d be delighted if the Grease get swept and humiliated. I have total Edmonton dysphoria, and “Edmonton is No Good” is my favourite thread on this site. I don’t think tar and feathers would enhance my wardrobe.
