I'm okay with Edmonton winning, here's why........

Must be a sign of the times... I remember there used to be one thing all Flames fans could agree on - anyone but Edmonton. That's it that's all.

The lack of hatred towards the Canucks these days is also disturbing to me, but at least we don't have to worry about them winning any time soon. Have you all gone soft on me? Or is this just the state of online fandom in 2025, where people feel the need to be contrarian for the sake of it.

The Edmonton Oilers are not a national team. You have been brainwashed by Canadian hockey coverage that just wants you to tune into the games after your team has been eliminated

I think it's normal to not want to support the Florida Panthers. If you hate both teams, you have to consider how the result will benefit the Flames. I guess if the Oilers win, the Flames will be picking 31st, instead of 32nd. I dunno, there's lots of stuff you could be doing other than being invested in the result of the Final

Anyone I know personally who is cheering for the Oilers is more of a casual hockey fan who doesn't watch most games.

Any hardcore Flames fan I know would never cheer for the Oilers. For one they are a rival team. And for two, they employ some of the biggest scum bags off the ice in the league.
