I love a timeline where the Panthers win, but McDavid wins his second consecutive Conn Smythe as a loser. It's not likely to happen (as was mentioned, he is not dominant this year), but it would be perfect. All he cares about is individual success, so this should be his destiny.
It's unfathomable why guys like he and Drai are resigning there. Either one of them could go to any half decent team and drag them to the Cup on talent. I just don't get why anyone would choose to live in that unmitigated ####hole.
In any case, my fatalism makes me think the horrible is coming, but in the meantime, I just want to see Florida freaking hit someone. Dallas couldn't have been any softer if their lives depended on it. At least make the glory boys suffer if they are going to beat you.
I saw Heritage Pointe is hosting Oiler watch parties. I won't be playing there again. Where is your sense of civic pride?

I hate the Oilers so much.
That said, they've been on fire since LA's choke so I could see them taking it, which would kill my mood for the rest of the year.
Please, Tkachuk and Bennett, help us!

Oilers just a better team this year. They almost pulled off the reverse sweep last year against the Cats. I say this year that the Oilers will get the job done. Just too hot right now.

Another year of the playoffs being ruined by the meth pig Oilers, so sick of that garbage team, would love to see them suffer another heartbreaking loss. They deserve it.

There should be a big watch party of Flames fans cheering for the panthers. That would make me laugh.

Dallas had long stretches where they controlled the play and outchanced the Oilers in 3 of 5 games but didn't take advantage of those stretches. IMO it was largely due to the fact they didn't go to the net consitently for some bizarre reason. Panthers should go to the net as they always do.
I get the PTSD but the Panthers have the better roster, they need to execute. I think if this wasn't the Oilers that many are so worried about winning the picks in this series would be a lot different. Panthers are by far the best team they have played yet and the type of team they struggle with. They are like a more talented LA.

I think discipline in this series is key.
Edmonton Kane , Perry and Dryhmper Nurse are hot heads and easy targets to draw penalties against.
Panthers Tkachuk Marchy Bennett could be easy prey too.
Who will be more disciplined??? I think Florida has a slight edge in buy in .
Losing Hyman will really hurt them. Guys that have to step it up are Pigs that also have fewer braincells and so again ....Cats have the edge .
Man i hate that roster the fan base etc
There will be bloood!!!
Go Cats Go!!

I was thinking about this earlier, would totally be Flames fans luck to draft 2nd to last overall and have the Oilers win.
Pretty sad when we are now praying to pick last in the first round.

Feels like it’s Edmonton’s year .
I’m going to have to step away as a nhl fan for some time if they do win.

judging by how Tre's moves have aged 32nd (the worst possible pick) seems likely

Fortunately, Florida essentially does everything Dallas refused to do in that series but needed to. If any other team made it through I would be concerned. They also play on the edge and have a couple professionals at the "accidentally on purpose" play.
I hope the Coilers eyes pop out of their skulls when they finally face some adversity and meet their match.

Question for me is, will Maurice pull Bob after he let in 2 goals in first 7 minutes?

Barkov is elite both offensively and defensively. He needs to shadow McDavid. Florida has the better defensemen & goalie and honestly I think they have a deeper roster of better forwards but McDrai is always scary.
